Yes, you can earn money from videos on Rumble through advertising, licensing, tips, sponsorships and—in some cases—the separate Rumble Creator Program. But an upload or a high view count does not guarantee income. Your licensing choice can also affect where Rumble distributes a video and whether it manages the video on YouTube. For most creators, Rumble is best tested as an additional channel, not assumed to be a more profitable replacement for YouTube.
How Rumble video monetization works
Rumble earnings can come from several sources, and they do not all work the same way. An available video is not necessarily approved for monetization, shown to viewers with ads, or earning revenue. Treat these as separate stages: upload, eligibility or approval, monetized viewing or another earning event, dashboard earnings, and payout under the applicable account terms.
Advertising on Rumble-hosted videos
Rumble may show ads on eligible videos and share the resulting revenue. The amount depends on factors such as ad availability and fill, advertiser demand, viewer geography, content suitability, format and policy adjustments. Total views are not the same as monetized views, and Rumble does not publish a universal rate that lets creators reliably predict earnings per 1,000 views. Its licensing comparison lists revenue shares, not a guaranteed CPM or RPM. Rumble’s licensing comparison
Licensing and syndication
Some Rumble licenses authorize Rumble to manage or distribute a video beyond Rumble.com, including to YouTube or third-party partners. A video being eligible for distribution does not mean it will be picked up: Rumble says third-party distribution is at its and its partners’ discretion. Licensing can create revenue opportunities, but it also affects control over the video. Rumble licensing terms and distribution notes

Tips, sponsorships and the Creator Program
- Tips: Fan support can suit creators with a loyal community, but depends on viewers choosing to contribute. Rumble describes tips as a monetization route separate from the Creator Program. Rumble Studio’s creator information
- Host-read sponsorships: Rumble Studio promotes sponsorship campaigns for livestreams, including reading an advertiser’s script. This is more relevant to streamers, podcasters and live commentators than to creators who only post edited videos. Campaign availability and earnings are not guaranteed. Rumble Studio ad reads
- Rumble Creator Program: This is an additional program, not a requirement for every kind of Rumble monetization. Rumble describes its 2026 program as performance-based, with factors that include watch time, new user signups and new Premium subscriptions driven by the creator. It has separate eligibility and terms, which can change. Creator Program details Creator Program terms
Which Rumble license should you choose?
Choose based on who should control distribution and rights—not just which option sounds most lucrative. Rumble’s published comparison describes these four options; read the current license wording before accepting, because a summary does not replace the agreement. Rumble’s explanation of licensing options
| Option | What Rumble describes | Best fit | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exclusive Video Management | Rumble receives exclusive rights to represent and distribute the video across its network, including Rumble, YouTube and third-party partners. | A rights-holder who wants broader distribution and Rumble-managed rights handling and accepts exclusivity. | Less direct control; understand the effects on YouTube uploads and claims, distribution and later licensing before agreeing. |
| Video Management, excluding YouTube | Rumble manages and distributes the video through Rumble and other eligible partners but excludes YouTube. | A creator who wants potential syndication elsewhere while managing their own YouTube channel. | Rumble does not manage YouTube distribution under this option; third-party distribution is not assured. |
| Rumble Player | Non-exclusive, Rumble-only monetization; the creator can manage the same content on other platforms. | A creator testing Rumble while retaining control of YouTube and other channels. | No Rumble-led YouTube or third-party distribution. |
| Personal Use | Rumble hosts the video while the creator retains control; Rumble does not participate in monetization or promotion. | Someone prioritizing control or using Rumble as a host rather than seeking Rumble earnings. | No Rumble advertising participation or promotion; Rumble’s explanation also describes limited stats and category visibility. |
Rumble’s comparison currently lists a 60% profit share on Rumble for its listed monetized licensing options, but this does not turn Personal Use into a monetized option. The table also lists 90% of YouTube profit share for Exclusive Video Management and 60% of third-party profit share. These are licensing-specific figures, not a promise of a particular income or RPM. Published licensing comparison
Check rights before selecting an exclusive option
Owning the recording does not always mean you own every element in it. Before granting rights, check for commercial music, stock assets, broadcast or sports footage, news clips, guest or employer ownership, and sponsor contracts that restrict redistribution. If you may sell or license the video elsewhere, confirm the agreement permits that. Do not assume a license can be changed after publication; check Rumble’s current terms and account options.

Can you publish the same video on Rumble and YouTube?
Generally, creators can publish on both, but the Rumble license matters. Rumble says its Video Management option excluding YouTube leaves YouTube management and monetization with the creator; Rumble Player is also designed for Rumble-only monetization while allowing independent management elsewhere. Rumble’s guidance on videos already on YouTube
- Want to manage YouTube yourself? Choose an option that explicitly excludes YouTube or a non-exclusive, Rumble-only option.
- Want Rumble to manage YouTube syndication? Consider Exclusive Video Management only after reviewing its rights, distribution and revenue terms.
- Already uploaded the video to YouTube? Do not assume that uploading it to Rumble grants Rumble the right to claim or distribute it on YouTube. Confirm what the chosen license authorizes.
Cross-posting does not remove copyright or platform-policy obligations. Confirm you have permission for every component on both platforms, and remember that YouTube applies its own originality, reused-content, copyright and advertiser-suitability rules.
Rumble vs. YouTube: revenue shares and eligibility
The platforms’ percentages are not directly comparable: Rumble’s figures are licensing-specific profit shares, while YouTube publishes shares for distinct revenue products. Neither percentage reveals how many monetized views a video will get or the total income it will produce.

| Platform and revenue type | Published creator share or entry criteria | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| Rumble: listed Rumble monetization | 60% profit share | Rumble’s current licensing comparison figure for the listed options; not a universal rate for every account or a guaranteed return per view. |
| Rumble: YouTube distribution under Exclusive Video Management | 90% of YouTube profit share | Rumble’s comparison wording. Do not read this as 90% of gross YouTube ad revenue; check the current agreement for the accounting basis. |

| YouTube: Watch Page ads | 55% of net ad revenue | YouTube’s published share for eligible partners’ long-form Watch Page ads. |

YouTube Partner Program thresholds
YouTube distinguishes earlier access to selected features from eligibility for Watch Page ads, Shorts Feed ads and YouTube Premium revenue. As currently documented, the thresholds are:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
| Access level | Threshold | What it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Earlier access | 500 subscribers; 3 public uploads in the previous 90 days; and either 3,000 valid public long-form watch hours in the previous 365 days or 3 million valid public Shorts views in the previous 90 days. | Selected fan-funding and shopping features, subject to eligibility and feature availability. |
| Full ad-revenue eligibility | 1,000 subscribers; and either 4,000 valid public long-form watch hours in the previous 12 months or 10 million valid public Shorts views in the previous 90 days. | Eligibility to apply for Watch Page ads, Shorts Feed ads and YouTube Premium revenue, subject to review. |
Both routes require more than hitting the numbers: YouTube lists policy compliance, an eligible country or region, no active Community Guidelines strikes, two-step verification, access to advanced features and an AdSense for YouTube account. Meeting the threshold does not guarantee acceptance. YouTube feature eligibility YouTube Partner Program overview and policies
Rumble has distinct licensing choices and a separate Creator Program, so do not treat that program’s rules as universal requirements for every possible Rumble income route. Confirm the current requirements for the monetization option available in your account. A creator may be able to test Rumble before reaching YouTube’s full ad-revenue threshold, but that is not a guarantee of earnings.

How to upload and monetize a Rumble video
- Prepare the video and clear its rights. Confirm you own or have permission to use the footage, music, images and any other material, and check sponsor, guest or employer agreements.
- Sign in to Rumble and open the upload or creator dashboard. The exact menu labels can change and may vary by account or product.
- Upload the original file and add metadata. Provide a title, description, thumbnail and category, along with any other fields the dashboard requests.
- Choose the license deliberately. Use Rumble’s current licensing explanation to confirm whether your selection allows Rumble to manage YouTube distribution, other syndication or only Rumble hosting and monetization. Rumble licensing options
- Submit and monitor the video. Check its approval or monetization status and subsequent distribution and earnings in your dashboard. Rumble’s comparison page lists immediate turnaround for Rumble Player and three days for management options, but these are platform-published estimates, not guaranteed service times. Rumble comparison and turnaround information
- Complete requested account and payment setup. Follow current prompts for verification, tax details and payment settings. Check your own Rumble account for applicable payout conditions rather than relying on a universal threshold.
- Keep a record of the license. Save the selected terms and any related rights or sponsor permissions so you can verify what distribution was authorized.
How much can you make on Rumble?
There is no reliable universal Rumble earnings estimate based on views alone. A useful accounting model is:
Total creator earnings = eligible ad revenue after the applicable share and adjustments + licensing revenue + tips + sponsorships + any program payments.

When comparing platforms, track net earnings alongside monetized views, watch time, audience location, tips or sponsorships, and the hours spent preparing and managing each version. A higher percentage can still yield less income if it applies to a smaller or less consistently monetized pool.
Which platform is better for your videos?
There is no universal winner. YouTube documents a mature range of monetization products and a formal eligibility path; Rumble’s differentiators include licensing and syndication choices, tips, the separate Creator Program and live sponsorship tools. The right choice depends on audience fit, rights, and whether the extra distribution produces worthwhile results.
| Consideration | Rumble | YouTube |
|---|---|---|
| Starting monetization | Potentially possible to test some routes before reaching YouTube’s full ad threshold, depending on account, content and route; confirm current terms. | Formal Partner Program thresholds and review apply to the listed ad-revenue features. |
| Revenue-share information | Publishes licensing-specific shares; the listed 60% Rumble share is not an RPM. | Publishes different shares for Watch Page ads, Shorts and listed fan-funding products. |
| Rights and syndication | License selection determines whether Rumble may manage broader distribution, including YouTube for the exclusive option. | Creators generally manage their own channel and YouTube publishing decisions. |
| Audience and discovery | An additional outlet that may suit a creator’s audience or distribution strategy; results vary. | A broad, established ecosystem spanning search, recommendations, Shorts, live and Premium. |
| Live production | Rumble Studio advertises free multistreaming to seven or more destinations, including Rumble, YouTube, Twitch, X and Facebook, plus RTMP connections such as OBS. Rumble Studio features | YouTube Live is integrated with the broader YouTube channel and its features. |
Choose based on your situation
- New creator seeking broad discovery: Build on YouTube if its audience and features suit your work; test Rumble without assuming an upload will earn.
- Existing YouTuber: Cross-post only after choosing a license that preserves the YouTube control you want.
- Podcaster or livestreamer: Evaluate Rumble Studio and host-read sponsorships if live production and audience engagement are part of your format.
- Rights-holder with a video that may be licensable: Compare the potential value of syndication against the control and exclusivity you give up.
- Creator who prioritizes control: Consider Rumble Player or another option explicitly compatible with independently managing the same video elsewhere.
Long-form commentary, podcasts, interviews, livestreams, gaming and creator-led entertainment may be practical formats to test when the audience and rights fit. Rumble is a poor match if your video depends on YouTube-only features, includes uncleared third-party material, has sponsor restrictions, or you are unwilling to review an exclusive license. Simply uploading to two platforms does not create an owned audience; an email list, website or podcast feed can reduce dependence on any one platform.
Risks and common mistakes
- Confusing profit share with earnings per view: A split does not disclose ad fill, deductions, whether a view was monetized, or the source of revenue.
- Assuming every upload earns: Publication, approval, monetized views, dashboard earnings and payout are different steps.
- Choosing an exclusive license as if it were a simple toggle: It can affect representation, distribution and rights management. Read the current contract, especially if another distributor or sponsor is involved.
- Using uncleared material: Ownership of the main recording does not necessarily clear music, clips, stock assets or guest contributions for redistribution.
- Expecting high views to guarantee ads: Low ad demand, unfilled inventory, unsuitable content, ad blockers and non-monetizable views can reduce earnings.
- Confusing the Creator Program with ordinary monetization: It is a separate program with its own terms and performance factors.
- Ignoring YouTube policy review: Reaching YPP thresholds does not guarantee approval, and compliance remains relevant after acceptance. YouTube Partner Program requirements
- Planning around an assumed payment threshold: Rumble’s applicable payout and tax requirements should be checked in the account. For YouTube, payments run through AdSense for YouTube and thresholds vary by currency. YouTube payment thresholds and process
A practical way to test Rumble
Run a limited cross-posting test rather than moving your whole library at once. Pick a representative set of videos whose rights are clear, choose a non-YouTube or non-exclusive license if you want to keep YouTube management, and track results over a consistent period. Compare net earnings per hour of work—not just views or headline revenue shares—and include the value of any licensing, tips or sponsorship income. Expand only if the added audience or income justifies the rights and production trade-offs.
