Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The Boost Mobile deal advertising a Samsung phone for $50, one free month of service and free shipping was a real promotion—but it was a limited-time offer from 2022, not a current deal. The phone was the Samsung Galaxy A23, and the promotion was scheduled to end on December 31, 2022. Boost’s current offers are different.
What the 2022 Boost Mobile deal included
PhoneArena published the offer on December 1, 2022, in an item labeled as a Boost Mobile advertorial. The figures below are the promotion as that advertorial described it, not a current price or an independently verified valuation.
| Offer detail | What the advertorial said |
|---|---|
| Phone | Samsung Galaxy A23 |
| Device price | $50 |
| Service incentive | One month of talk, text and 5G data |
| Shipping | Free |
| Advertised package value | $339.99, as stated by the advertorial |
| Timing | Black Friday promotion scheduled to run through December 31, 2022 |
Read the original PhoneArena offer. Its advertorial disclosure matters: it was promotional coverage, not an independent comparison or test.
Is the $50 Galaxy A23 offer still available?
No. The promotion’s stated end date was December 31, 2022, so it should be treated as expired. There is no evidence that the exact Galaxy A23, one-free-month and free-shipping bundle remains available in 2026. Search results or archived deal pages can continue to show the old headline after the offer ends; that does not make it purchasable now.

In this offer, $50 referred to the phone price—not necessarily the entire amount due at checkout or the total cost of keeping service. The advertorial does not provide an itemized receipt or establish whether sales tax, activation or account charges were waived.
What the old offer does not establish
The archived promotion describes one month of service, but it does not fully specify the requirements and costs around that month. In particular, it does not establish the post-promotion plan price, whether service renewed automatically, the cancellation process, or whether any minimum service period applied.

Current Boost terms are not proof of the terms attached to a 2022 purchase. For example, current Unlimited+ terms describe a 12-month lock for discounted phones and say failure to activate within 30 days can result in collection of the phone’s full list price. Boost’s general terms also describe a possible charge, in applicable cases, for customers who do not maintain service for at least three months. These are current-term examples, not established conditions of the old Galaxy A23 deal. See Boost’s Unlimited+ terms and Boost’s general terms.
How Boost’s current Samsung offers differ
Boost’s current deal pages describe different device and service promotions, not the expired Galaxy A23 package. Its current deals page advertises savings of up to $550 with qualifying Unlimited+ or Unlimited Premium plans; some promotions have requirements such as port-in, identity verification or prepaid service, and one references prepaying two months of the $50 Unlimited+ plan. Check the offer’s own terms before comparing its headline savings with the old $50 phone price.

As a separate current example, Boost’s prepaid plans page lists a Samsung Galaxy A15 5G with 64GB at $119.99, reduced from $169.99. That is a different model and price structure: it is not a $50 Galaxy A23 offer. The page also shows introductory service promotions, including $10-per-month pricing for the first three months and a cash-rewards offer for up to a year of service, each subject to its own conditions.
Boost’s Infinite Access for Galaxy program is no longer open to new customers after June 30, 2026. Existing customers enrolled before then may retain it under the applicable terms. Details are on Boost’s Infinite Access page and its program terms.

- Add up the amount due at checkout. Include the phone, sales tax, first service payment, activation charges and shipping if applicable.
- Calculate the plan cost over the period you expect to stay. A device discount can be offset by a more expensive required plan. Compare the plan premium over 12 months with the phone savings.
- Read minimum-service and activation rules. Check whether leaving early or missing an activation deadline can trigger a charge or remove the discount.
- Confirm the unlock policy. If you may switch carriers, verify how long the phone must remain on Boost and what conditions apply.
- Check coverage and data terms at your address. “Unlimited” does not necessarily mean unlimited high-speed data. Current Unlimited+ terms state a 40GB high-speed allowance and describe possible speed reductions afterward, along with coverage and partner-network limitations. Review the current terms.
- Verify the exact model and eligibility. Confirm the model, storage, availability, required plan, port-in rules and customer-status restrictions on the offer page and at checkout.
