The $150 Galaxy A54 5G Prime Day deal was a 2024 promotion, not a price you can assume is available now. Coverage published July 15, 2024, put the phone at about $299.99 against a $449 reference price. A separate Best Buy offer reportedly brought it to $199.99 only with qualifying activation. Neither price is verified as live today, so check the actual listing and its conditions before buying.
What the 2024 deal offered
The original promotion described two different ways to buy the Galaxy A54 5G. The figures below are historical prices reported on July 15, 2024—not current offers. The coverage did not establish the exact storage configuration or confirm that the Amazon and Best Buy listings were the same model or unlocked SKU.
| Purchase route | Reported price | Reported savings | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Prime Day | About $299.99 | $150 versus a $449 reference price | Prime Day pricing; Prime eligibility and exact listing details are not established here. |
| Best Buy | $199.99 | $250 versus the $449 reference price | Required activation through Best Buy; carrier, plan, and other terms were not specified. |
The $449 figure was the reference price used in the 2024 coverage. It does not prove the phone typically sold for that amount immediately before the promotion, or that the discount reflected its usual market value.
Is the deal still available?
The July 15, 2024 article is not evidence of an active 2026 sale. Samsung’s current U.S. Galaxy A-series page highlights newer models rather than the A54, indicating that the A54 is no longer a featured current model. Remaining stock may still appear through retailers or third-party sellers, but its price, condition, and seller can differ from the old promotion.

- Important note - Due to the rounded edges of the display, the tempered glass does not cover 100% of the screen, but only the flat, even area. (See pictures) otherwise it would not be robust. It offers better compatibility for mobile phone cases.
- It withstands scratches and cracks and makes your smartphone look like new.
- Extreme hardness – The tempered glass of the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is made of strong, balanced 9H glass (harder than a knife).
- Super crystal clear - The protective glass is crystal clear and made with 99.9% transparency, it does not distort the display colour, does not affect the display or touch sensitivity of your touchscreen. It feels like your original screen. Oleophobic screen coating repels oil and fingerprints. It prevents your screen from looking stained and greasy. This means that your screen is always easy to clean and prevents unsightly smudges.
- Easy installation - Everything you need for installation can be found in the included kit: cleaning cloths, dust stickers, detailed instructions (English language not guaranteed).
Before treating a listing as a deal, confirm the seller, model and storage, new or refurbished condition, unlock status, warranty, return window, stock, and whether the displayed price requires Prime, a coupon, or activation. Compare the final price with newer phones available now; do not rely on the old $449 reference price alone.
What to check before using the Best Buy activation price
The reported $199.99 was conditional, not an unconditional price for an unlocked phone. “Activation” can involve starting or upgrading service, and the 2024 coverage did not specify the eligible carriers or requirements. Read the offer terms and calculate the full cost before committing.

Does the Galaxy A54 5G still make sense?
The A54 is a 2023 mid-range phone. Its 6.4-inch 1080p+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Exynos 1380 processor remain relevant for ordinary tasks such as messaging, streaming, browsing, navigation, and routine multitasking. The 2024 coverage also identifies Gorilla Glass 5 on the display. Those specifications do not establish current gaming performance or battery runtime.

It may suit someone who wants Samsung’s software experience, expandable storage where supported by the specific market and SKU, or a low-cost replacement for everyday use. But an older model can mean less remaining software support than a current phone, and old-stock or used units bring battery-age and warranty questions. Samsung advertises six years of software and security updates for newer devices featured on its current A-series page; that claim should not be assumed to apply to the A54.
Compare an A54 listing with current Galaxy A-series phones and, if relevant, recent Pixel A-series or Motorola budget models. Do not assume a particular alternative is cheaper or better without checking its current price, support terms, and features.

Who should buy—and who should skip
Consider it if
- You want a Samsung phone for everyday use and the verified price is substantially below comparable current options.
- You have confirmed the unit is new, U.S.-compatible, unlocked if needed, and covered by an acceptable warranty and return policy.
- You specifically value expandable storage, after confirming the exact SKU supports it.
Skip it if
- The attractive price depends on a carrier plan or activation you do not want.
- The listing is renewed, imported, or sold by an unfamiliar marketplace seller without return and warranty protection you consider adequate.
- A newer phone is close in total cost and offers a fresher battery or longer verified support period.
- You need heavy-gaming performance or flagship-level camera results.
Check the live terms before paying
- Open the retailer’s current Galaxy A54 listing and confirm the exact model, storage, condition, seller, and stock status.
- Check whether the phone is U.S.-unlocked or carrier-specific, and confirm compatibility with your carrier.
- Read the warranty and return terms, especially for refurbished, imported, or marketplace inventory.
- At checkout, verify whether Prime membership, a coupon, or carrier activation is required and calculate taxes, fees, and any service commitment.
- Compare the final cost with current alternatives and their support policies before deciding.
Amazon’s search page is amazon.com/s?k=Samsung+Galaxy+A54+5G, and Best Buy’s search page is bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?st=Galaxy+A54+5G. Treat these as places to check current listings, not confirmation that the 2024 prices remain available. Samsung’s U.S. Galaxy A-series lineup can help you compare the A54 with models Samsung currently features.
The 2024 article also mentioned a 30-day Prime trial, but that does not establish Amazon’s current trial terms. Check Amazon’s live Prime membership page for current eligibility and renewal terms before signing up solely for a deal.
