If the wallet disappeared from the Helium Mobile app, it probably is not a temporary glitch: Helium removed crypto features from that app starting July 15, 2026. Mobile subscribers should use Helium World’s migration page. If the separate Helium Wallet app is crashing, showing no balance, or rejecting a recovery phrase, use the matching steps below—and do not uninstall it until you have confirmed your recovery phrase or Ledger access.
First, identify which Helium wallet is failing
“Helium Wallet” can refer to several distinct accounts or apps. A fix for the Helium Mobile subscriber wallet will not necessarily restore a separate hotspot, Builder, Ledger, or Solana wallet.

If the wallet disappeared from Helium Mobile
Helium says crypto-native features stopped being supported in the Helium Mobile app beginning July 15, 2026. The Helium Wallet is no longer accessible inside that app; this is different from the separate Helium Wallet app being down. Helium directs Mobile subscribers to migrate through https://world.helium.com/migrate. See the official Helium announcement and migration instructions.
- Open the official migration page at world.helium.com/migrate.
- Sign in with the credentials used for the Helium Mobile subscriber app. Helium’s instructions warn that the page may mention Builder App credentials, but Mobile subscribers should use their subscriber-app login.
- Review the balances displayed and select Continue.
- Create or sign in to a Privy account, then enter the email verification code Privy sends.
- Select the destination wallet when prompted and confirm the migration.
This is the documented route for balances associated with a Helium Mobile subscriber account. Do not assume it covers a separate hotspot account, Ledger, legacy Helium L1 wallet, or independently created Solana wallet. The disappearance of the Mobile app interface alone does not mean that the associated tokens are lost, but do not treat that as a guarantee that every account or asset is covered.

Do not downgrade the app, install an unofficial APK, or enter a seed phrase into a migration page unless the official process explicitly asks for it. Reinstalling Helium Mobile will not restore the removed wallet interface.
If the standalone Helium Wallet app crashes or will not open
Use the standalone app’s official distribution links: Helium Wallet, Apple App Store, or Google Play. Then work through these steps in order:
- Confirm the app came from the official Apple or Google store.
- Check that the phone has a stable internet connection.
- Force-close the app, reopen it, and restart the phone if needed.
- Check the official store for an app update.
- Check Helium’s live status page for an incident affecting Wallet App or Solana services. An operational status does not rule out a device, account, login, or individual connection issue.
- Consider reinstalling only after you have confirmed you can restore the correct account with its recovery phrase or reconnect its Ledger. Helium explicitly warns not to uninstall before writing down the seed phrase.
If Helium reports an outage, waiting is safer than repeatedly reinstalling the app or importing a phrase. Helium’s documentation does not establish a universal cache-clearing path, DNS change, or app version as a fix for crashes.

If Helium World rejects the login or migration stalls
Check which account credentials you are using
Use the email and password associated with the Helium Mobile subscriber account for the Mobile wallet migration, not automatically a Builder login. If you have several Helium identities, first confirm the email tied to the original Mobile account. A Builder account, subscriber account, standalone wallet phrase, hotspot account, and Ledger account are not interchangeable.

Check for an existing Privy account
If you previously created a Privy account during another migration, Helium says you can use those existing credentials rather than creating a new account.
If the email code does not arrive
- Confirm the email address is spelled correctly and is the one linked to the account.
- Check spam, junk, promotions, and filtered folders.
- Wait before requesting another code. Repeated requests may make it harder to tell which code is current.
- Retry from the official migration page in a current browser.
- Do not follow links from unsolicited social-media or Discord messages claiming to provide migration support.
These email checks are general troubleshooting, not a guarantee of delivery. If the migration displays an unexpected account or destination, stop and verify the account before confirming.

If the recovery phrase is rejected
The Helium Wallet app documents imports for both 12-word and 24-word recovery phrases. Older accounts created in the Helium Hotspot app commonly use 12 words; accounts created in the Helium Wallet app use 24 words. Enter the words in their original order using the matching import option. Helium’s wallet documentation explains the phrase and restoration process.
- Count the words: the phrase should have exactly 12 or 24.
- Check spelling and order carefully; do not replace a word with one that merely looks similar.
- Choose the corresponding 12-word or 24-word import option in the correct wallet app.
- If restoration succeeds but the expected funds do not appear, check the account selector and compare the public address with a previously saved address.
A recovery phrase is the wallet’s master key. Helium says a lost phrase cannot be recovered, and anyone who obtains it can control the account’s tokens, Hotspots, or NFTs. Never post it, send it to support, or paste it into a website or troubleshooting form. A site asking for private keys or seed words is a likely scam.
If the wallet opens but the balance or Hotspots are missing
Check the account and address
The Helium Wallet app supports up to 10 accounts, which can be switched from its account selector. A restored phrase may lead you to a different account than the one you expect. Check each relevant account and compare its public address with one you saved previously or a trusted blockchain explorer; an account name alone is not enough to confirm it is the right wallet.

Balances and Hotspot ownership can be associated with different accounts or management flows. If Hotspots are missing, do not assume that restoring a token balance also restores the account used to manage those Hotspots.
Check the Solana network
The app’s developer settings can select a Solana cluster. Helium warns that Devnet is for testing and that its balances and Hotspots do not replicate from Mainnet. Check that the app is using Solana Mainnet unless you intentionally use Devnet. Do not change developer settings casually.
Check whether the app displays the asset
Helium lists HNT, MOBILE, IOT, DC, SOL, and USDC among assets displayed by its wallet app, while noting that other tokens may not appear. Its documentation also identifies DC as non-transferable. If a token or Hotspot does not show, first verify the account and address rather than creating a new wallet.

If a Ledger or third-party wallet is involved
Helium documents Ledger pairing in the Helium Wallet app guide and provides separate Ledger instructions. For an ordinary connection issue, make sure the Ledger is unlocked and the appropriate Ledger app is open; verify the address shown on the Ledger itself rather than trusting a website’s display.
A different address can result from choosing another account index or derivation path. Helium’s Ledger documentation covers legacy Helium L1-to-Solana migration and explains that older L1 paths differ from Solana paths. If you have an old, unmigrated L1 Ledger account, follow that specific documentation instead of importing a phrase or using the Mobile subscriber migration route.
Helium also documents Solflare and Phantom as possible interfaces for compatible Solana assets and Ledger accounts; see its third-party wallet documentation. These are advanced alternatives, not the first fix for a missing Mobile wallet button or failed login. Do not casually export or enter a private key or recovery phrase into another wallet.
If you cannot send a transaction
Before retrying, check that the correct account is selected, that the Ledger can sign if one is in use, and that the relevant Solana services are operational on Helium’s status page. A Solana transaction may also need SOL for its fee; the available documentation does not establish a single fee amount to use for every transaction. Some displayed assets, including DC, are identified by Helium as non-transferable.

When to stop troubleshooting
- You do not have the recovery phrase and have not confirmed Ledger access: do not uninstall or reset the wallet.
- A restored account shows an unfamiliar public address: do not send funds to it or assume it is the original account.
- A migration shows an unexpected destination: stop before confirming.
- A person or site asks you to disclose a recovery phrase or private key: do not comply.
- A Ledger account appears to depend on an old derivation path: use Helium’s Ledger-specific migration documentation rather than guessing.
