Craig Kilborn’s net worth is listed as $7 million by Celebrity Net Worth. That is a third-party estimate, not a verified disclosure from Kilborn: the site provides no Kilborn-specific calculation, financial records, or valuation date for the figure.

What is Craig Kilborn’s net worth?

Celebrity Net Worth lists Kilborn at $7 million. Its general note says published net-worth figures are estimates unless otherwise indicated, but the page does not show how this particular number was calculated or when it was valued. No statement from Kilborn or an official representative validating the estimate is identified in the available sources. Celebrity Net Worth’s Craig Kilborn page is therefore best read as an estimate, not a confirmed account of his wealth.

What is known about his career?

Kilborn worked in radio sports and local television before moving to ESPN and then hosting Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. Paramount’s 2004 CBS Entertainment biography credits him with creating “Five Questions” and “A Moment for Us.” He took over The Late Late Show on March 30, 1999, and the biography says he marked five years as host in March 2004. Paramount’s biography documents those career milestones, not his compensation.

Kilborn left The Late Late Show in 2004. In a 2010 Los Angeles Times interview, he said, “I didn’t leave to do anything else, I left to leave,” and described late night as crowded and repetitive. The paper also covered his brief return with The Kilborn File in 2010. In a 2015 interview, he referred to his 2004 departure as “early retirement” and spoke about enjoying a private life. These accounts explain his career choices but do not disclose his finances.

Why the $7 million figure is not a verified net worth

A net-worth calculation requires information about assets and liabilities, and a public estimate is only as reliable as the underlying evidence. The Celebrity Net Worth page does not provide a detailed calculation for Kilborn. The reviewed sources also do not establish a verified salary, asset list, debt total, investment portfolio, or audited net-worth figure.

Career visibility alone cannot fill that gap. For example, a 2003 New York Observer report put The Late Late Show audience at 1.7 million viewers per night at that time. That is a historical audience figure—not Kilborn’s pay, current viewership, or evidence of personal wealth. Likewise, anecdotes about his private life are not financial records.

How to interpret the estimate

  • Use the attribution: say Celebrity Net Worth estimates Kilborn’s wealth at $7 million rather than stating that he has a confirmed $7 million net worth.
  • Do not infer a salary: the cited career biographies and interviews do not verify his compensation.
  • Do not treat lifestyle or audience figures as a balance sheet: neither establishes assets, debts, or investments.
