Does Costco still sell Xbox consoles? A September 2025 report said Costco had no plans going forward to carry them, but the account was relayed by commentator Destin Legarie and reported by Windows Central—not issued as a formal Costco press release. The evidence is about Costco’s reported plans, not a confirmed worldwide end to Xbox sales.
What Costco reportedly said about Xbox consoles
In September 2025, commentator Destin Legarie said Costco had told him: “We don’t have any plans going forward to carry an Xbox console.” Windows Central reported the account. It was not presented as a statement from a named Costco executive or as a formal company announcement. Windows Central’s report
The report described the decision as a business decision, but the available account did not explain the company’s reasoning. SlashGear likewise reported that Costco had not publicly shared a reason. Claims that pricing, sales, tariffs, or Microsoft’s strategy caused Costco’s reported decision are not established by these sources. SlashGear’s report

Costco’s U.S. Xbox category page showed no matching items in the captured result. That is a snapshot of Costco.com, not proof that every U.S. warehouse has stopped selling Xbox consoles. Is Costco stopping Xbox sales everywhere?
The evidence does not establish a worldwide discontinuation. Costco Canada’s category results and a Canada-specific product listing showed an Xbox Series X bundle. Those live retail pages can change, so the listing is evidence of a Canadian offer in the captured result—not a guarantee of current stock or a statement about Costco’s policy in every country. | Costco U.S. online category result | No matching Xbox items appeared in the captured search result. | Whether a local warehouse has stock or whether all U.S. sales channels are permanently closed. |

Can you still find an Xbox at your local Costco?
Check with your local warehouse rather than treating a Costco.com search as a complete inventory check. Costco’s own U.S. page cautions that warehouse items may not appear online. If you are comparing alternatives, verify the model, price, and availability directly with each retailer; the Costco pages and reported policy do not establish stock elsewhere.

What Microsoft’s 2026 price update does—and does not—tell Costco shoppers
In a June 25, 2026 Xbox Wire update, Microsoft announced worldwide console price changes effective August 1, 2026: increases of US$100 for 512 GB models and US$150 for 1 TB models. Microsoft also said the 2 TB model would be sunset. These are Microsoft’s announced changes, not Costco-specific prices or an explanation of Costco’s reported decision. Microsoft’s Xbox Wire update
Microsoft attributed its own pricing update to rising component costs, saying console storage and memory prices had increased by more than 2.5 times and that it expected another doubling by fall 2027. That rationale applies to Microsoft’s announcement; it does not establish why Costco reportedly planned to stop carrying Xbox consoles.
