Chery has not confirmed that the three models named in a May 2026 report—the Tiggo 4 HEV, QQ BEV and Tiggo V—will launch in Pakistan. The company was evaluating two to three possible models, according to Business Recorder. Since then, Chery has launched the electric Chery Q and expanded its locally assembled plug-in hybrid SUV lineup, but those developments do not confirm launches for the three earlier candidates.
What happened to the three Chery models under consideration?
Business Recorder reported on May 7, 2026, that Chery Master Pakistan was evaluating two to three models for a possible local introduction. It named the Tiggo 4 HEV, QQ BEV and Tiggo V. That is evidence of consideration, not a confirmed launch plan: the report did not give launch dates or local prices for any of the three.

Chery CEO Samir Malik said the company was “evaluating products that match local driving conditions, consumer expectations and long-term mobility trends,” according to the May report. His statement describes the evaluation process; it does not confirm that the three named vehicles will be sold in Pakistan.
What Chery has launched or brought to Pakistan since then
Chery Q, a separate all-electric model, was launched in Pakistan at the Pakistan Auto Show in September 2026. Chery’s official product page lists a 42.7 kWh battery and a range of up to 400 km on the NEDC test cycle; these are manufacturer figures, not independent road-test results. The launch coverage reported a limited introductory price of Rs5,554,000 and a complimentary 7 kW home charger described as worth Rs100,000. Check with the seller for current price and offer terms.

By July 2026, Tiggo 7 PHEV had joined Tiggo 8 PHEV and Tiggo 9 PHEV on Pakistani roads, according to company-release material reported by ProPakistani. That update concerns the plug-in hybrid lineup; it does not establish that the Tiggo 4 HEV, QQ BEV or Tiggo V evaluations became launches under those names.
What the reported prices do—and do not—tell buyers
Two reported price points offer a snapshot of Chery’s newer electrified vehicles, but both were promotional figures and should be verified before making a purchase decision.

The same Tiggo 7 PHEV advertorial listed 342 hp, 525 Nm, more than 90 km of pure-electric range and a combined range above 1,200 km. These are promotional manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. The cited material does not provide comparable warranty, charging-compatibility or total ownership-cost information for the models, so those points need checking with the seller and relevant service providers.
Why affordability remains a concern despite rising auto finance
The Competition Commission of Pakistan’s March 2, 2026, release says its automobile-industry study identified affordability constraints in the passenger-car market. It recommended improving access to vehicle finance, including reviewing restrictive limits and considering targeted subsidized schemes for first-time buyers. This is a market-level policy assessment, not proof that a particular vehicle is unaffordable to every prospective buyer.

At the same time, the Ministry of Finance’s Pakistan Economic Survey 2025–26 reported auto-loan flows of Rs68.7 billion in July–March FY2026, up 24.9% from Rs26.9 billion in July–March FY2025. Loan flows indicate financing activity; they are not a count of borrowers and do not establish that vehicles have become broadly affordable.
Associated Press of Pakistan reported Chery Master Pakistan figures saying Pakistan’s NEV segment grew 392% in FY2025–26 and accounted for around 15% of the overall automobile market. Those are company-shared figures as reported by APP, not independently verified market measurements. Even if adoption is growing, market growth alone does not show how many households can afford a specific model.
