You could get more than 100 Nintendo Switch games for $0.20 each only during a QubicGames eShop promotion in North America that ran April 12 through May 1, 2024. That sale has ended. To qualify at the time, an account had to own QubicGames’ free Coloring Book or one of four specified games; an eShop gift card did not meet that requirement. Current offers change, so check Nintendo’s live sales page and your account’s regional eShop before buying.
What the 20-cent Switch game offer actually was
QubicGames ran the promotion for its 20th anniversary as a digital Nintendo eShop sale, not as a Nintendo hardware bundle or a deal on physical game cards. Nintendo Life reported that more than 100 digital titles were included. Examples named in the report were Hole io, Real Boxing 2 and Dex; that is not a complete or verified catalogue. Nintendo Life’s 2024 report has the original sale details.

QubicGames CEO Jakub Pieczykolan described the promotion as a way to thank fans for their support over the company’s first two decades. The reported campaign window was April 12–May 1, 2024. Its $0.20 price is historical, not a standing price or a current offer.
Who qualified, and what it cost by region
North America
According to Nintendo Life’s report, a North American account had to own QubicGames’ free digital Coloring Book or one of these four games: Robonauts, Pocket Mini Golf, Hole io or Geki Yaba Anniversary Edition. Eligible promotion titles were reported at $0.20 each. Owning a Nintendo eShop card was not a substitute for owning a qualifying QubicGames title.

Europe
The report said most European titles were priced at €0.99 or £0.89. It did not establish whether European shoppers had the same ownership requirement, so the North American eligibility rule should not be assumed to apply there. The dollar and European prices were offers in different regions, not interchangeable prices.
How to find cheap Switch games now
- Open Nintendo’s official Sales & Deals page. Nintendo uses it for changing offers on digital games, downloadable content and merchandise; it does not indicate that the 2024 QubicGames sale has returned.
- Check the title’s eShop page in your account region. Confirm the current price, sale end date, edition and any purchase conditions before paying. Offers and inventory can change.
- Compare the exact format and game. A digital eShop price is not a physical game-card price, and a low price is useful only if it is for the title and edition you want.
Using an eShop card without a regional mismatch
A Nintendo eShop Card can add funds for digital purchases, but it does not unlock a historical QubicGames discount. Nintendo’s purchase guidance explains that a card’s 16-character code is entered during the eShop purchase flow. In the United States, Nintendo says card funds are redeemable with a US Nintendo Account and become associated with that account after redemption. Nintendo’s purchase instructions and its US gift-card terms explain the process and account restriction.

Match the card and any download code to the country or region of the Nintendo Account. Nintendo says cards are country-specific and cannot be exchanged for cards intended for another country; the eShop follows the account’s country setting, and a download code only works in its intended eShop region. See Nintendo’s eShop Card FAQ and Nintendo’s code-region guidance.
Do not confuse a console’s ability to play many overseas physical game cards with regional compatibility for purchases or downloads. Nintendo says most Switch game cards are not region-locked, with a China-region exception, but service and support are not guaranteed for every overseas title, and downloadable content must match the software region. Nintendo’s regional compatibility FAQ covers those limits.
