Are Chandigarh JBT 2024 applications still open?
No. Applications closed on 19 February 2024, and the fee-payment deadline was 22 February 2024. This is a completed application cycle, not a live vacancy announcement.
The official department record says the written test was held on 28 April 2024. A notice dated 24 July 2025 scheduled the handover of appointment offers to 41 selected candidates for 25 July 2025. These later milestones are recorded on the department’s appointment notice and its JBT recruitment page, which also carries later posting and joining notices. Candidates should use that page for updates specific to their own status.

Application fee and pay
The indexed recruitment notice listed a fee of ₹1,000 for candidates generally and ₹500 for SC candidates. It said candidates with disabilities were exempt in accordance with Government of India instructions. The listed pay matrix was ₹9,300–34,800 with grade pay of ₹4,200 (Level VI). These are the terms reported in the 2024 notice, not a current application offer.
What was in the JBT written-test syllabus?
The department’s official syllabus covered aptitude, school-relevant subjects and language skills. Its main areas included:

Exam date: the original schedule changed
