Bling Capital announced a $270 million fourth fund on November 19, 2024, and said it wanted to invest more in Seattle. The announcement described a flagship fund and an opportunity fund for follow-on investments; it did not establish how much Fund IV has since deployed in Seattle.

What Bling Capital announced

Bling Capital announced $270 million for Fund IV on November 19, 2024, according to GeekWire, TechCrunch and Bloomberg. This is a dated 2024 fund announcement, not news of a newly raised fund.

Fund structure and follow-on investments

GeekWire described Fund IV as comprising a flagship fund and an “opportunity fund.” TechCrunch reported that about half of the new capital was earmarked for the opportunity fund, citing general partner Kyle Lui. That is an approximate announcement-era allocation, not a precise final breakdown. The opportunity fund is intended to let Bling make follow-on investments in portfolio companies it believes are performing well.

Why Bling is interested in Seattle

At the time of the announcement, GeekWire described Bling as a Miami-based firm focused primarily on the Bay Area and New York City while investing across North America. General partner Kyle Lui had recently moved to Seattle, and he told GeekWire: “we would like to do more in the Seattle market given that I’m based here and there is strong technical talent.” His local presence and the region’s technical workforce were the stated reasons for the firm’s interest.

What was known about Seattle investments

GeekWire reported that Bling had invested in Seattle-based Loti, a company it described as helping public figures find deepfakes. Bling’s current portfolio page describes Loti as protecting likenesses by finding and removing deepfakes online. GeekWire also reported that a large investment from Fund IV was in stealth at the time; it did not identify the company.

The named Loti investment shows a Seattle connection, but the announcement-era reporting does not establish how much Fund IV has since invested in Seattle or identify the stealth company. Bling’s live portfolio listing should not be treated as a record of which investments came from Fund IV or from a Seattle allocation.

What Bling invests in and how it supports founders

In the November 2024 GeekWire report, Bling’s target sectors included enterprise software, fintech, marketplaces, healthcare and consumer software. Bloomberg also summarized areas including AI, software, healthcare, consumer and fintech. These are descriptions from the time of the fund announcement, not a definitive statement of the firm’s current investment mandate.

Bling’s official site currently presents it as a pre-seed and seed investor focused on helping founders find product-market fit and scale. The firm says its Product Council includes more than 100 product leaders. GeekWire reported in November 2024 that Bling had backed more than 160 companies at the pre-seed and seed stages since its 2018 founding. That historical company count is not a count of Fund IV investments.

Reported check size and investment role

GeekWire reported in November 2024 that Bling typically invested $500,000 to $3 million, primarily as a lead investor. This is a historical description from the announcement period, not a current guaranteed check size or a promise about any individual company’s financing.
