The CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 registration window has closed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) extended the final application deadline to 26 June 2025 at 11:59 p.m. and the fee-payment deadline to 27 June 2025 at 11:59 p.m. The exam was subsequently held on 28 July 2025. Do not use the old “closes today” headline as a current application notice.
Final application and fee deadlines
NTA’s extension notice set these final dates for the June 2025 cycle:
- Online application submission: 26 June 2025, by 11:59 p.m.
- Application fee payment: 27 June 2025, by 11:59 p.m.
- Application correction window: 28–29 June 2025, until 11:59 p.m.
These dates superseded the original schedule, which had applications closing on 23 June, fee payment on 24 June and corrections on 25–26 June. The June 2025 application period cannot be reopened by visiting the old application page. NTA’s extension notice gives the final deadlines.
What happened to the June 2025 exam?
NTA initially scheduled the computer-based test for 26, 27 and 28 July 2025, then moved all subjects to 28 July. The CSIR-HRDG question-paper release records that date for each subject. The exam has therefore already taken place; this is not an upcoming test date. NTA’s revised schedule notice and the CSIR-HRDG question-paper resource reflect the final date.

Where to find June 2025 score cards and certificates
For score-card or certificate services, use the official CSIR-UGC NET portal, rather than an old application link or an unofficial site. The portal lists June 2025 score-card and certificate resources and labels the certificate service live. Because portal access can change, check the page directly for current service status and instructions.
What the CSIR-UGC NET determines
NTA described the Joint CSIR-UGC NET as an eligibility test for three possible outcomes, subject to the applicable eligibility criteria:

The June 2025 test covered five subject areas: Chemical Sciences; Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; and Physical Sciences. NTA’s June 2025 information bulletin describes the test as a three-hour computer-based examination with objective multiple-choice questions and English and Hindi language options.

Applicable bank or payment-gateway service charges could be additional. NTA instructed applicants to submit forms online through the official CSIR-NET portal; applications through other modes were not accepted.
