Its notice announced 4,500 tentative training seats; it did not establish that all seats were filled or that the tentative exam date was followed.

The Central Bank of India’s 7 June 2025 notification set the original schedule. A separate 23 June 2025 extension notice superseded its closing dates. Candidates who had already applied and paid by the applicable deadline did not need to submit another application. The dates have passed; these instructions are historical, not an active application route.
Who was eligible for the 2025–26 intake?
Eligibility was assessed against the conditions in the bank’s notification, including these requirements:
- Age: 20 to 28 years as of 31 May 2025 for the unreserved/general age bracket. Upper-age relaxation applied to eligible categories under the notice.
- Education: A degree in any discipline from a recognized university, completed on or after 1 January 2021.
- Local language: Proficiency in the specified local language of the state for which the candidate applied.
- Citizenship and registration: Applicants had to meet the notice’s citizenship conditions and register on the NATS portal.
The notice excluded candidates who had already completed an apprenticeship or were then undertaking apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act. It also excluded candidates with at least one year of training or job experience after attaining their educational qualification. Applicants needed to check the full notification and their category documentation against their own circumstances.

How selection and the examination were described
Selection was to involve an online examination and a local-language test. The bank described the online test structure as tentative and reserved the right to modify it.
| Test detail | Published plan |
|---|---|
| Questions and marks | 100 questions for 100 marks |
| Duration | 60 minutes |
| Subjects | Quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, computer knowledge, English language, and basic retail, retail asset, investment, and insurance products |
| Negative marking | None for wrong answers, according to the notice |
The original notice tentatively placed the exam in the first week of July 2025. That proposed schedule alone does not confirm when the examination took place or establish a result. Final engagement was subject to merit, document verification, and medical fitness.

What the apprenticeship paid—and what it did not promise
The notice set the training period at 12 months and the stipend at ₹15,000 per month, with no other allowances or benefits. This was apprenticeship training, not a regular bank job: completing it gave an apprentice no right to claim employment, and the bank stated it had no obligation to offer regular employment.

The bank’s historical instructions required candidates to register on NATS before applying for the Central Bank of India apprenticeship opportunity. Successful applicants were to receive an email from BFSI SSC asking for further details, including category and district choices, and explaining the fee-payment step. The application was complete only after the fee was deposited by the extended payment deadline.
