These are company accounting figures—not a verified estimate of any owner’s personal net worth.
Who owns Bolton Wanderers?
Bolton Wanderers identifies Football Ventures (Whites) Limited as the club’s parent company. The shortened “Football Ventures Ltd” is not the precise legal name given on the club’s company-details page.

The club names Sharon Brittan as chair of the parent company’s board, alongside Nick Luckock and Michael James. It also identifies Michael James, Keith Morris and BMLL Limited as shareholders with a significant interest, which the page defines as 10% or more of the shares. That disclosure is not a complete list of shareholders or a full cap table.
What is Football Ventures worth, and what is Sharon Brittan’s net worth?
No reliable, attributable figure establishes the personal net worth of Sharon Brittan, Michael James, Keith Morris or another shareholder. The available accounts also do not provide a defensible standalone market valuation of Football Ventures. Online estimates without a clear, reliable basis should not be treated as verified.

The latest accounts give a more concrete picture of reported finances, but accounting measures are not personal wealth, a sale valuation or a measure of cash available today. They also apply to different reporting levels:
| Measure | 2024/25 figure | What it describes |
|---|---|---|
| Group turnover | £20.5 million | Revenue across the consolidated group; down from £21.3 million in 2023/24. |
| Operating loss | £13.91 million | The group’s operating result, compared with a £9.78 million operating loss in 2023/24. |
| Club net assets | £17.66 million | The club-level net-assets figure, up from £15.82 million. |
| Group net liabilities | £7.06 million | The consolidated group-level liabilities in excess of assets. |
| Shareholder investment | £20.15 million | Funding attributed collectively to shareholders during the year. |
The figures are reported in Bolton Wanderers’ 31 March 2026 announcement of the accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025. Club net assets and group net liabilities are not contradictory: they refer to different reporting levels and should not be substituted for one another.
The £20.15 million was initially recorded as a creditor because EFL regulatory approval for the related share allotment had not been obtained by the balance-sheet date. The club says approval came later and shares were subsequently issued. The announcement attributes the investment to shareholders collectively; it does not identify it as a personal contribution by one named owner.

- FVWL Football Limited: professional football and related commercial activities. Group revenue sources named in the accounts include events, commercial activity, retail, and food and beverage, as well as professional football.
- FVWL Hotel Limited: hotel accommodation, leisure facilities and matchday hospitality.
The accounts also list dormant subsidiaries, including Bolton Sports Village Limited, Bolton Sporting Ventures Limited and The Bolton Wanderers Football & Athletic Company Ltd. A legal entity’s inclusion in the corporate structure does not mean it is an active trading business. The accounts do not establish unrelated businesses or investments held personally by individual shareholders.

The club’s account announcement says it deliberately invested in the playing squad and stadium infrastructure during 2024/25. It does not set out a detailed multi-year owner strategy, a promotion timetable or quantified future spending targets. That reported investment direction for one accounting year should not be read as a promise about future results or spending.

Bolton finished eighth in EFL League One in 2024/25, according to the same announcement. CEO David Ray said: “The 2024/25 season on the pitch didn’t go the way any of us wanted, but I look at these accounts and I see a club that has been consistently invested in, year after year, by shareholders who are fully committed to Bolton Wanderers.” The statement reflects the club’s description of shareholder commitment; it does not specify a future budget or outcome.
