EstateX announced on February 22, 2024, that Brock Pierce would join the company as a strategic investor and advisor. The announcement did not disclose how much he invested, the terms of the arrangement, or whether the relationship is still active.

Did Brock Pierce join EstateX?

EstateX’s February 22, 2024 press release said Pierce would join as a strategic investor and advisor. Pierce also described himself as joining the company as an advisor and investor in a LinkedIn post that month. These statements corroborate the announced role, but neither provides deal terms or confirms the relationship’s current status.

EstateX’s blog lists a related announcement dated February 20, 2024. That is the blog listing date; the press release republished by ACCESSWIRE and Yahoo Finance is dated February 22, 2024.

What is EstateX?

EstateX described itself in the announcement as a Netherlands-headquartered real-estate-tokenization startup co-founded by Bart de Bruijn and Thomas Onel. That is the company’s own description, not an independent assessment of its operations or offerings.

Tokenization generally refers to representing an interest or asset through digital tokens. The announcement alone does not establish what legal rights any EstateX token conveyed, who could buy one, or how fees, liquidity, custody, or redemption worked. Those details matter when evaluating a property investment; the announcement is not a substitute for current offering documents and disclosures.

What role and investment did the announcement describe?

The release announced Pierce as both a strategic investor and an advisor. It did not state an investment amount, identify the instrument or ownership stake, describe advisory duties, or provide contractual terms. The role should therefore be understood as the one EstateX announced in 2024, not as evidence of a current appointment or investment.

EstateX’s press release also said the EOS crowd sale associated with Block.one raised more than $4 billion. That figure is a claim made in the EstateX release; the sources cited here do not independently verify it.

What did the announcement say about the planned token event?

The release promoted a whitelist and a token generation event planned for March 2024. Those were historical promotional statements. They do not establish that an offer is available now or that the event took place as planned.

What did Pierce and EstateX’s CEO say?

A press-release copy mirrored by Bomb Report published remarks attributed to EstateX CEO Bart de Bruijn and Pierce. The publication of those quotes with the announcement does not independently authenticate them.

De Bruijn said: “Brock Pierce’s involvement is a game-changer for EstateX. His expertise, guidance, network, and commitment to innovation align perfectly with our vision of making the world a better place and empowering individuals through cutting-edge technology.”

Pierce said: “I believe in the power of technology to transform lives positively. Joining EstateX is an opportunity to contribute to innovations that make a difference in the world.”
