Nlyte announced its acquisition of FieldView Solutions on February 4, 2016, saying the deal would add real-time event management and analytics to its data-center infrastructure management (DCIM) capabilities. The companies did not disclose the purchase price in the contemporaneous coverage.
Why did Nlyte acquire FieldView?
Nlyte described the acquisition as a way to expand its capabilities for proactively managing data-center infrastructure and supporting IT service continuity. Specifically, it said FieldView would bring real-time event management and analytics. That is the stated strategic rationale; “DCIM software consolidation” describes the broader market context, not a claim that the deal combined all competing platforms. What did FieldView software do?
Contemporaneous reporting by Data Center Knowledge described FieldView as monitoring temperature and power consumption at individual devices. Its capabilities included real-time event correlation, alarms and analytics. The report also said its data could be sent to third-party systems or placed in a data warehouse for analysis.
Those operational details come from the trade report. Nlyte’s acquisition announcement did not set out a specific product-integration plan, so the available accounts do not establish how or whether FieldView’s functions were incorporated into Nlyte software.

How much did Nlyte pay for FieldView?
The purchase price and other financial terms were not disclosed in the contemporaneous coverage. No deal value should be inferred from later corporate announcements: Carrier’s 2021 acquisition of Nlyte was a separate transaction.

Carrier announced in 2021 that it would acquire Nlyte, then confirmed the acquisition’s completion on October 5, 2021. Carrier said Nlyte would become part of Automated Logic Corporation. Its announcement stated, “The terms of the transaction were not disclosed”; that sentence refers to Carrier’s 2021 acquisition of Nlyte, not Nlyte’s 2016 purchase of FieldView.
