Beyoncé, MrBeast, Taylor Swift: Which Celebrities Have Used Shopify?

Shopify directly cited Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour merchandise shop and MrBeast’s store refresh. Beyoncé’s connection is through a secondary report about Cécred, and none of these sources confirms current platform status.

Shopify has directly said Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour merchandise shop launched on its platform in July 2023, and that MrBeast revamped his store using one of Shopify’s free themes. Beyoncé’s connection is less firmly documented: a 2024 secondary report identified Cécred, her haircare brand, as a Shopify store. These are dated examples, not confirmation of what platform any of the stores uses today.

Which celebrities have been linked to Shopify?

Celebrity or brand What the evidence says Evidence and date
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour merchandise shop Shopify said the shop launched with Shopify in July 2023. Shopify Q2 FY2023 earnings-call transcript, August 2, 2023; also reported by ecommerce agency By Association Only.
MrBeast’s store Shopify said MrBeast revamped his store using a Shopify free theme. The store’s developer documented Shopify APIs as part of the storefront implementation. Shopify Q2 FY2023 earnings-call transcript, August 2, 2023; Basement Studio technical account, October 21, 2022.
Beyoncé’s Cécred brand A secondary report identified Cécred as a Shopify store; the evidence cited here does not include first-party confirmation from Cécred or Shopify. Website Builder Expert, updated August 2, 2024.

The examples refer to celebrity-related businesses and merchandise stores—not necessarily to personal Shopify accounts held by the celebrities. The cited material establishes historical platform use, not current technology behind the live sites.

Taylor Swift: Eras Tour merchandise

In the transcript of Shopify’s Q2 FY2023 earnings call, CEO Harley Finkelstein said, “In July, Taylor Swift launched her Era Tour merch shop with us, experiencing unprecedented volume of sales and site visitors on launch day and we were ready for it…” The statement identifies the store as a Shopify launch in July 2023, but gives no figures for sales, visitors, or growth. Read the earnings-call transcript.

By Association Only also describes Shopify as the platform for the Eras Tour merchandise store and lists items including T-shirts, Christmas tree decorations, jewellery, and vinyl. That corroborates the store context, but the Shopify call is the direct company statement about the platform.

MrBeast: a Shopify-powered store with other technology too

Shopify said during the same earnings call that MrBeast “revamped his store using one of Shopify’s out-of-the-box free themes.” Separately, the storefront developer Basement Studio described its October 2022 implementation, including Shopify’s Admin API for creating discount codes, the Discounts API for redemption rules, and the Storefront API. Its account also names Vercel and Axiom in the technology stack, so Shopify was one part of the setup rather than necessarily the only provider. See Basement Studio’s technical account.

Basement Studio described Shopify as its own preferred ecommerce provider; that is the developer’s assessment of the implementation, not a statement by MrBeast about his personal platform preferences.

Beyoncé: the evidence is about Cécred

The Shopify association reported for Beyoncé concerns Cécred, her haircare brand, rather than evidence that she personally operates a Shopify account. Website Builder Expert’s article, updated August 2, 2024, identified Cécred as a Shopify store and said the brand launched in early 2024. Because the available support is secondary coverage—not a first-party Cécred or Shopify statement—it is best described as a reported platform use, not a confirmed current setup.

What these examples do—and do not—show

  • Shopify’s Q2 FY2023 call directly named Swift’s merchandise shop and MrBeast’s store refresh; the call transcript is hosted by ROIC AI, not on Shopify’s investor site.
  • The sources establish platform use at particular points in 2022–2023 for MrBeast and Swift, and a secondary report from 2024 for Cécred. They do not verify whether any of the stores still uses Shopify today.
  • A Shopify storefront can use other services alongside it. Basement Studio’s account of MrBeast’s storefront names Shopify APIs as well as Vercel and Axiom.
  • Shopify’s call described Swift’s launch as having “unprecedented” sales volume and site visitors, but supplied no numeric total in the transcript. The description should not be treated as a measurable ranking or a quantified result.

Shopify’s reported creator-partnership result needs context

A Shopify-branded creator-partnership presentation hosted by LA Office reports a “3 percentage point increase in 18-34 demographic on the platform as measured by the merchant survey” among its MrBeast partnership learnings. That is a result attributed to a merchant survey in Shopify’s presentation, not an independently established causal effect. The same presentation cautions that “Without a brand lift or specific brand study, causal correlations are impossible to assess.” View the presentation.
