Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour ultimately reported a $407.6 million box-office gross from 32 shows and 1.6 million tickets sold. The available reporting does not establish that it was the fastest tour to gross $100 million: the first eight shows add up to $98.2 million, and the sources do not identify when the tour crossed $100 million. The substantiated speed milestone is reaching $400 million in 32 shows.

These are reported box-office receipts, not profit, Beyoncé’s personal earnings, or a full measure of tour revenue. The sources do not give a complete accounting of costs, guarantees, merchandise, sponsorship, or net income. Billboard Boxscore figures depend on voluntary industry reporting, so they are not a census of every touring event. Beyoncé Online and MusicRow describe the figures as Boxscore-reported.
Was it the fastest tour to gross $100 million?
The available reporting does not prove that claim. Beyoncé Online reports $55.7 million over five SoFi Stadium shows, followed by $42.5 million over three Soldier Field shows. Adding those reported amounts gives $98.2 million through the first eight performances—not $100 million. The sources do not specify the date or show when the tour passed $100 million, and they do not provide comparable $100 million crossing counts for other tours. Beyoncé Online

Accordingly, “fastest to gross $100 million” should not be treated as a verified record based on these figures. It is also important to distinguish a gross threshold from elapsed time: the available record comparison is based on number of shows, not a demonstrated calendar-time comparison.
What speed record is supported by the reporting?
The reported milestone is that Cowboy Carter became the shortest tour to pass $400 million, doing so in 32 shows. Beyoncé Online compares that show count with Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance World Tour at 56 dates, the Rolling Stones’ No Filter Tour at 58 dates, and Metallica’s M72 Tour at 60 dates at the time of its report. Those comparisons describe show counts to the threshold as reported there; they do not establish a $100 million record. Beyoncé Online

How did the reported gross build during the tour?
| Run or point in tour | Reported box office | Tickets / shows |
|---|---|---|
| SoFi Stadium opening run | $55.7 million | 217,000 tickets across five shows |
| First eight shows, calculated from the reported SoFi and Chicago figures | $98.2 million | Eight shows; combined ticket count not stated in the cited reports |
| May shows | $157.4 million | 567,000 tickets across 12 shows |
| Through 22 shows | $269.8 million | 1.1 million tickets |
| Tour total | $407.6 million | 1.6 million tickets across 32 shows |
The SoFi and interim figures were summarized from Boxscore reporting by Beyoncé Online. The $98.2 million first-eight-show figure is arithmetic from the $55.7 million SoFi total and the $42.5 million Soldier Field total; it is not a separately reported Boxscore milestone. May’s $157.4 million was described as the second-biggest reported monthly gross in Boxscore history, behind Beyoncé’s own $179.3 million August 2023 figure. Beyoncé Online

What shaped the tour’s overall box office?
The tour played 32 shows in nine cities, concentrating dates in seven U.S. markets and London and Paris. It used multi-night stadium runs, including five Los Angeles shows, five New York-area shows, four in Atlanta, and six in London. A routing with more dates concentrated in fewer cities can let an artist sell more tickets at each stop and increase the gross at those venues; the final recap identifies this as a feature of the tour’s structure. Beyoncé Online
MusicRow reports $70.3 million and 250,000 tickets across the MetLife run, and $61.6 million and 275,000 tickets across London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium run. It also reports tour-wide averages of $12.7 million gross and 49,900 tickets per night, with an average ticket price of $255.36. These are publication-reported Boxscore figures, not independently audited numbers. MusicRow
