BPSSC’s latest relevant notice, dated 23 September 2026, cancels the mains written examination held on 27 May 2026 and says a new date will be announced separately. The notice does not cancel the entire recruitment. Check the BPSSC official notice listing for any new schedule.
Can you still apply for Bihar Police SI 2025?
No. This was a historical recruitment window, not an open application opportunity. BPSSC’s official site lists Advertisement No. 05/2025 and an application link dated 25 September 2025; Careers360 reported that applications began on 26 September 2025. The old link should not be treated as an active form. For any current notice or future recruitment, use BPSSC’s official listing.
What is the latest Bihar Police SI 2025 status?
BPSSC’s 23 September 2026 notice cancels the mains written examination conducted in two shifts on 27 May 2026. It says the replacement examination date will be notified separately; the notice does not provide that date. Read the official mains cancellation notice and monitor the commission’s notice listing for a new announcement.
This is a cancellation of the mains written examination, not an announcement that the entire recruitment has been cancelled. On 21 September, BPSSC described social-media claims of complete cancellation as misleading and factually baseless. That earlier rebuttal and the later, specific mains cancellation address different claims and should not be confused. The 21 September rebuttal notice is available on BPSSC’s site.

Has the PET and document verification schedule changed?
Yes. A separate BPSSC notice dated 28 August 2026 postponed the physical efficiency test (PET) and document verification until further orders. It said fresh dates would be published later. The notice is available as the PET postponement notice. Do not rely on the previously announced schedule unless BPSSC issues a replacement.

These are historical details reported by Careers360 in 2025, not instructions for a live application. Careers360 reported 1,799 advertised posts, including 614 positions reserved for women, and a ₹100 application fee. It also reported that applicants needed a degree from a recognized university or equivalent by 1 August 2025, and that Indian citizens of any gender could apply. The detailed category-wise age limits, relaxations, physical standards, and other eligibility conditions are not established here; consult the original advertisement if BPSSC republishes it or issues a related notice. See the Careers360 report dated 24 September 2025.
Careers360 also described the historical image-upload instructions as a recent color photograph on a white background, 15–25 KB, in JPG/JPEG/GIF format, plus separate Hindi and English signatures on white backgrounds in black or blue ink. These reported specifications applied to the 2025 form and should not be assumed to apply to a future application.
