The May 17, 2025 deadline for Bihar ITICAT-2025 registration was temporary: BCECEB later extended registration through May 24 and fee payment through May 25. The 2025 admission cycle is now over, so candidates should not treat either date as an active application deadline. The confusion is understandable: an earlier notice had used May 17 as the proposed exam date, not the registration deadline.
What the May 17 deadline meant
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) notice No. 05, dated April 25, 2025, set the online registration closing date for ITICAT-2025 to May 17. The notice separately set May 18 as the fee-payment deadline. Read notice No. 05.

That schedule was subsequently superseded. Notice No. 06, dated May 18, extended registration to May 24 and payment to May 25. Read notice No. 06. The May 17 date therefore describes an interim deadline, not the final registration cutoff.
How the dates changed
BCECEB revised the timetable several times. The same date also appeared for different purposes, so check the activity named in each row rather than relying on a date alone.

The dates in the first four rows come from the board’s initial detailed notice and notice No. 03, notice No. 04 and notice No. 05. The final row reflects notice No. 06. Exam and admit-card dates were scheduled dates in those notices, not registration deadlines.
Why May 17 can be confusing
In notice No. 03, issued April 4, May 17 was the proposed examination date. Notice No. 04, issued April 17, also retained May 17 as the proposed exam date while moving registration to April 25. Then notice No. 05, issued April 25, moved registration to May 17 and proposed June 15 for the exam. The date changed function as the timetable was revised: in notice No. 05 it was the registration cutoff, while in earlier notices it was the proposed exam date.
Can you apply for ITICAT-2025 now?
No. ITICAT-2025 is a completed cycle. BCECEB’s archive includes later rank-card and counselling notices, including an offline spot-admission notice dated September 26, 2025. Candidates seeking admission in a later cycle should use that cycle’s prospectus and latest notices on the BCECEB website; the ITICAT-2025 dates above do not establish whether a newer application is open.

The notice’s extracted fee section lists ₹750 for an unreserved candidate and ₹100 for a disabled candidate. Because the available text extraction does not preserve the fee table’s full structure, those figures should not be used to infer every category’s fee; applicants needing category-specific charges should consult the official notice or prospectus.
