Founder Jacob Arabo remained central to the company, focusing on product design and its creative vision. The change was a division of responsibilities, not the founder’s departure.
When did Benjamin Arabov become CEO of Jacob & Co.?
Monochrome Watches reported Arabov’s move into the CEO role in an interview published March 16, 2021. In that interview, he described a split between his operational and marketing remit and his father’s creative work. A February 2022 interview revisited the arrangement during Arabov’s first year as CEO. Jacob & Co. identified him as CEO again in a June 2024 company article, and WatchTime India did so in an interview published online August 28, 2025. These later references confirm the title on those dates; they do not establish whether any change occurred after them.
Arabov is Jacob Arabo’s son. Jacob & Co.’s official history says Arabo launched the company in 1986 and identifies him as its founder and chairman. The brand makes watches and jewelry.
How were responsibilities divided?

In the 2021 interview, Arabov said, “I will focus mainly on operations and marketing.” In 2022, he described the working arrangement this way: “I focus on marketing and operations, and he focuses on design and production.” He characterized his own approach to product planning as more data-driven alongside his father’s intuitive creative process. The interviews present complementary responsibilities rather than a formal account of the company’s full governance structure.

What did Arabov bring to the company?
Arabov described a background in digital marketing before returning to the family business. He said he took over the company’s social-media activities in 2017. Monochrome Watches reported substantial audience growth during that period, including a rise on the company’s main Instagram account from 200,000 to 1.8 million, as well as a combined social following figure of 2.5 million. These are historical figures reported in the 2021 interview, not independently audited audience measurements.
In the 2022 interview, Arabov discussed social and influencer content as ways to raise digital exposure and generate customer inquiries. Those comments describe management’s strategy; they do not independently demonstrate how much any specific tactic contributed to sales.

What did Jacob & Co. say about performance?
In the February 2022 interview, Arabov said the company’s sales doubled in 2021 compared with 2020 and called 2021 its best year. That is an executive’s account in an interview, not an audited financial disclosure. It does not show that the CEO transition alone caused the reported increase.
Arabov also described the company’s business mix at the time as 80% watches and 20% jewelry. The split is his statement in the 2022 interview, not an audited segment breakdown, and should not be read as a current figure.

What later references show about the role
Jacob & Co.’s June 24, 2024 article about its Bugatti Tourbillon collaboration identified Arabov as CEO, connecting his title to the company’s ongoing watchmaking and partnership work. WatchTime India’s online interview published August 28, 2025 also identified him as CEO and discussed design, operations, marketing, and boutiques. The page says the interview first appeared in its January 2024 issue, so those dates refer to separate publication events.
In that interview, Arabov said the company planned to add five mono-brand boutiques “the following year.” That was a forward-looking plan in an interview first published in January 2024, not confirmation that the locations opened.
