No evidence presented here establishes Pepeto as a better buy than SOL or LINK. SoFi’s stablecoin launch and later settlement announcement are developments in payments infrastructure, not proof of likely returns for any of those assets. The headline’s “March 2026” timing is also stale: the latest relevant announcement in the available evidence is dated September 22, 2026, and no live prices or comparative market data are established here.
What the SoFi announcements say—and what they do not
SoFiUSD became available in SoFi’s app
In its May 27, 2026 announcement, SoFi said members could buy, sell, hold and convert SoFiUSD through its app. The company described the stablecoin as redeemable one-for-one for U.S. dollars and said it was available on Ethereum and Solana. Those are SoFi’s descriptions of its product, not independent verification of redemption, reserves or consumer protections.
SoFi CEO Anthony Noto said, “At SoFi, we believe we can combine the speed and versatility of the blockchain with the trust of a bank to improve how money moves around the world.” That is the company’s stated rationale for the product; it is not an investment forecast.
Settlement went live in September
On September 22, 2026, SoFi and Mastercard announced that SoFiUSD settlement was live across SoFi Bank’s debit and credit card program. SoFi said it was migrating its $25 billion card program to settlement using SoFiUSD. The figure describes the card program, according to SoFi; it is not a measure of demand for SOL or LINK, or a forecast of token returns.

#1 Best Overall
The announcement followed SoFi’s March 3, 2026 announcement of a Mastercard settlement partnership. The September update is the later status announcement. Neither announcement establishes that a particular crypto asset is undervalued or likely to outperform.
SoFiUSD, SOL, LINK and Pepeto are not interchangeable
SoFiUSD is presented by SoFi as a dollar stablecoin. SOL and LINK are crypto assets associated with different networks and functions; the available evidence does not provide enough detail for a thorough comparison of those functions. Pepeto is the other named asset in the headline, but the material available here does not substantiate its project claims or establish a comparable market profile.
Rank #2
| Asset or development | What the available evidence establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| SoFiUSD | SoFi said on May 27, 2026 that it was available through the app, on Ethereum and Solana, and redeemable 1:1 for U.S. dollars. | Independent verification of redemption, reserves or consumer protections, or an expected return for holders. |
| SoFiUSD settlement | SoFi and Mastercard said on September 22, 2026 that settlement was live across SoFi Bank’s debit and credit card program; SoFi described a $25 billion program migration. | A ranking of SOL, LINK or Pepeto by investment performance. |
| SOL and LINK | They are named as comparison assets; this evidence set does not provide a current, consistent set of market or adoption measures for either. | A relative valuation, risk comparison or performance forecast. |
| Pepeto | TechBullion published a promotional article about Pepeto on March 10, 2026. | Independent confirmation of the article’s presale, exchange-infrastructure, bridge, audit or comparative-ranking claims. |
Why the “Pepeto leads” claim is not demonstrated
TechBullion’s March 10, 2026 article promotes Pepeto and refers to presale pricing, exchange infrastructure, a bridge and an audit. Those are claims in a promotional article. The evidence available here does not include primary project documentation or independent verification of the audit, exchange, bridge or market details, so those claims cannot support a factual conclusion that Pepeto leads SOL or LINK.
A fair ranking would require comparable, dated evidence. No independent market statistic in the available sources ranks these three assets by expected performance, and no live October 2026 prices are established. A confident “best crypto to buy now” verdict would therefore go beyond the evidence.
What to check before making a crypto comparison
Before treating any asset as a potential purchase, compare the same measures for each asset and use current, dated sources. A headline, presale promotion or payment-network announcement is not a substitute for these checks:
- Market capitalization and liquidity: establish the date and source for each figure, and whether trading volume is sufficient for the position you are considering.
- Supply and unlocks: distinguish circulating supply from total or unlockable supply; future token releases can affect the amount available to trade.
- Demonstrated use: look for verifiable use of the network or product, rather than treating an issuer’s partnership announcement as proof of token demand.
- Security and governance: examine documented risks, decision-making arrangements and any incident history.
- Access and custody: confirm that the asset and the custody method are available to you in your jurisdiction, and understand the risks of holding it.
- Disclosure quality: seek primary documentation and independently verifiable claims, especially for presales, audits, bridges and exchange listings.
Keep SoFiUSD’s banking relationship in perspective
SoFi’s stablecoin announcement does not make SoFiUSD an FDIC-insured deposit. SoFi discussed a planned conversion to tokenized deposits in its May announcement and said separate deposit terms would apply; that is distinct from the stablecoin. Readers should check SoFi’s current product terms rather than infer deposit protections from the issuer’s bank status.
