Best Labor Day TV Deals 2026: 40+ Bargains on OLED, QLED and Mini-LED Screens

Labor Day TV offers are already live. Compare current OLED, QLED and Mini-LED price snapshots, then check model features, seller terms and delivery before buying.

Labor Day is Monday, September 7, 2026, and U.S. retailers have already started advertising TV promotions. The best buy is not automatically the one with the biggest percentage off: panel quality, native refresh rate, seller, warranty and return terms matter just as much. Prices below are snapshots observed August 18, 2026, not guaranteed Labor Day-week prices; check the linked listings for current price and conditions before ordering.

For a quick shortlist, start with the TCL QM6K if you want an expert-recognized budget Mini-LED, the LG B5 if you want OLED contrast and gaming features, or a large TCL Mini-LED if screen size is the priority. The live listings include a 77-inch LG B5 OLED advertised at 41% off and a 98-inch TCL QM7L Mini-LED at 30% off at Best Buy, alongside lower-priced Walmart options. Those discount percentages use retailer reference prices; they do not establish an all-time low.

Quick picks: which Labor Day TV deal should you check first?

Need Shortlist Why it stands out Check before buying
Best budget Mini-LED TCL QM6K, 55 or 65 inches Mini-LED, Google TV, 144Hz-class gaming support and broad HDR-format support make it a strong value candidate in current expert coverage. Confirm the exact size’s live price, native refresh-rate modes and seller; built-in sound and brightness are not class-leading.
Best-value OLED LG B5, available in several sizes OLED contrast plus four HDMI 2.1 inputs, 4K/120Hz, VRR and FreeSync. It is less bright than premium OLEDs. One size is described as a Best Buy exclusive, so availability varies by configuration.
Big-screen bargain TCL QM7L, 98 inches Best Buy showed it at 30% off in its Labor Day listings. Confirm price, delivery and returns, and measure the room, doorway and wall before ordering.
Bright-room / sports shortlist Samsung QN90F or a comparable Mini-LED Mini-LED is a useful direction for bright rooms and daytime viewing. Check current listing details and remember Samsung TVs do not support Dolby Vision.
Movies in a dim room LG B5 or a discounted higher-tier OLED OLED’s deep blacks and contrast suit movie viewing in controlled light. Compare brightness, HDR formats and the actual configuration; OLED is not automatically best in a sunny room.
Lowest listed 55-inch price TCL Q-series QLED at Walmart Listed at $248 on August 18, 2026. This is a current listing, not necessarily a Labor Day-labelled offer; confirm seller, fulfillment, warranty and return terms.
Large screen under $1,000 TCL 85-inch Q-series QLED or Vizio 85-inch Mini-LED Quantum Walmart listings showed $678 and $768, respectively, on August 18. These are listing snapshots. Compare panel features and seller conditions rather than price per inch alone.

These are shortlists, not a claim that every size or configuration is in stock at the listed price. Best Buy’s Labor Day TV listings and Walmart’s television listings are live pages, so verify the model number and terms at checkout.

What TV deals are available now?

Retailers mix seasonal promotions with ordinary current prices. Best Buy’s Labor Day-labelled page included discounts across 2025 and 2026 models; Walmart’s page showed several low prices without labeling every one a Labor Day deal. Treat the former as advertised seasonal promotions and the latter as prices worth comparing, not as proof of a special-event discount.

Walmart: current low-price examples

Listing Snapshot price How to interpret it
TCL 55-inch Q-series QLED $248 Current listing price observed August 18; not necessarily labeled as a Labor Day offer.
Samsung 55-inch M70HB Mini-LED $348 Current listing price; confirm exact specifications and seller.
Samsung 65-inch M70HB Mini-LED $478 Current listing price; check fulfillment and return terms.
TCL 65-inch QM6K QD Mini-LED $648 Current listing price; compare the same size and model elsewhere.
TCL 85-inch Q-series QLED $678 Current listing price; large-screen delivery logistics matter.
Vizio 55-inch Mini-LED Quantum $278 Current listing price; verify model number and seller conditions.
Vizio 65-inch Quantum QLED $328, marked down from $498 Retailer comparison price; not an independently established historical low.
Samsung 75-inch M70HB Mini-LED $648, marked down from $698 Retailer comparison price; verify availability and seller.
Samsung 85-inch M70HB Mini-LED $998 Current listing price; check delivery and return arrangements.
Vizio 85-inch Mini-LED Quantum $768 Current listing price; compare picture features, not only size.

Prices are snapshots of the Walmart television page from August 18, 2026. Marketplace listings can differ in who sells and ships the set, warranty coverage and return handling. Do not treat a low price as a good deal until those details are clear.

How to find 40 worthwhile bargains without counting duplicates as different TVs

Retailers often list one model in multiple screen sizes. A roundup can reach 40 offers by counting model-size combinations, but that is not the same as 40 distinct television designs. Use size variants as separate deals only when the listed price and configuration are verified; otherwise label a model family once and link readers to check available sizes.

Because prices and inventory are volatile, the examples above are not a verified 40-item cart-ready list. Use the price bands below to build a shortlist from live listings, then apply the same checks to every size and seller. A current price should not be called a Labor Day discount unless the retailer identifies it as one.

Under $250: basic sets and entry QLED

Look at smaller LED and entry QLED models for bedrooms, dorms or casual streaming. The Walmart TCL 55-inch Q-series listing at $248 is a striking size-to-price example, but the panel’s refresh rate, local dimming and exact model number should determine whether it suits your use. A very cheap 4K set may be native 60Hz and lack local dimming.

$250–$399: value QLED and entry Mini-LED

This band includes the listed Walmart Vizio 55-inch Mini-LED Quantum at $278, Samsung 55-inch M70HB Mini-LED at $348, Vizio 65-inch Quantum QLED at $328 and TCL 55-inch QLED at $248. Confirm the model identity and seller first; do not infer comparable picture quality from the QLED or Mini-LED label alone.

$400–$599: larger or better-equipped midrange sets

The Walmart Samsung 65-inch M70HB Mini-LED listing at $478 is an example in this range. Compare it with smaller sets that may have stronger local dimming, a faster native panel or more useful HDMI gaming features.

$600–$899: big QLED and budget Mini-LED

Examples include the Walmart TCL QM6K 65-inch QD Mini-LED at $648, TCL 85-inch Q-series QLED at $678, Samsung 75-inch M70HB Mini-LED at $648 and Vizio 85-inch Mini-LED Quantum at $768. These are current listing snapshots, not all confirmed seasonal promotions.

$900 and up: premium OLED, flagship Mini-LED and very large screens

At higher prices, compare discounted prior-year premium TVs with current-year entry models. Best Buy’s listing examples include 2025 LG B5 OLED models and 2026 models; a newer model year alone does not establish better value. Confirm the exact size, features and sale terms before comparing.

For each candidate, record the retailer and seller, exact model number and size, current and reference prices, model year, panel type, native refresh rate, HDR formats, HDMI 2.1 and VRR support, smart platform, deal conditions and price-check date. If any of those facts are not stated on the listing or manufacturer page, do not fill the gap by guessing.

Which display technology is right for your room?

OLED: best contrast for movies and dark-room gaming

OLED pixels can turn off individually, producing deep blacks, strong contrast and wide viewing angles. That makes OLED compelling for film nights and responsive gaming. Its trade-offs are a higher price than basic LED and, on many models, less brightness than premium Mini-LED in a sunny room. The LG B5 is a value-oriented example: Tom’s Guide highlights four HDMI 2.1 inputs, 4K/120Hz, VRR and FreeSync, while noting lower brightness than premium OLEDs. Read the model and deal comparison.

Burn-in is a possible long-term concern with persistent static elements such as news tickers, channel logos or a PC desktop. Modern OLEDs include mitigation features, and varied everyday viewing is different from leaving the same static image on for prolonged periods; burn-in is neither inevitable nor impossible. If a TV will display a fixed interface for many hours every day, weigh that usage against an LCD option.

QLED: a broad category, not a guarantee of contrast

QLED uses quantum dots to enhance color in an LCD television. It can deliver more brightness and color volume than a basic LED set, often at a lower price than OLED. But QLED alone does not tell you whether the TV has full-array local dimming, a high native refresh rate or convincing HDR. Check those specifications separately.

Mini-LED: a strong fit for daytime viewing and large-screen value

Mini-LED is an LCD backlight approach that can provide stronger brightness and more local dimming zones than many conventional LED sets. It often suits bright rooms, sports and large screens without OLED pricing. It can still show blooming around bright objects or subtitles, and viewing angles may be narrower than OLED. A bright panel also does not eliminate reflections.

TechRadar identifies the TCL QM6K as a value model with Mini-LED, 144Hz-class support, Google TV, four HDMI inputs and broad HDR-format support, while noting that brightness and built-in sound are not class-leading. Its QM7K testing cites 4K/144Hz, FreeSync Premium Pro and low input lag as strengths, with reflections and mild corner vignetting as drawbacks. These reviews are useful model context, not a guarantee that every size has identical performance. QM6K coverage and QM7K and 65-inch TV coverage.

  • OLED CARE: Helps protect your OLED display to retain the best picture quality possible over time

RGB Mini-LED: an emerging premium option

RGB Mini-LED is positioned as a newer premium LCD technology, but early-generation models can cost more and be harder to find. Tom’s Guide describes the Hisense UR9 as a 2026 RGB Mini-LED flagship with a broad streaming and gaming feature set. The cited coverage does not establish a current Labor Day offer for it, so compare actual availability and price against a discounted conventional Mini-LED before paying extra. See the coverage.

What size TV should you buy?

  • 32–43 inches: Bedroom, kitchen, office or dorm use.
  • 48–55 inches: Smaller living rooms or moderate viewing distances.
  • 65 inches: A common living-room choice when the room and budget allow.
  • 75–85 inches: Larger rooms or viewers sitting farther away.
  • 98 inches: A substantial purchase that needs room, wall and delivery planning—not just a persuasive discount.

Before ordering, measure the TV’s full width and height, stand footprint, furniture depth and the route from delivery entrance to its final position. Check whether feet are center-mounted or wide-set; the latter may not fit an existing stand. For wall mounting, check VESA compatibility, stud placement and mount capacity. Large sets may need two-person handling or professional installation, and inspect the carton and screen for shipping damage before accepting delivery if the retailer’s procedure allows it.

Viewing distance is personal, but screen size should be chosen for the seat and room, not by price-per-inch alone. A cheap 85-inch 60Hz TV can be a worse fit for fast gaming or dark-room movies than a smaller Mini-LED or OLED. Confirm oversized-item delivery, carry-in service, return window and any return-shipping cost before purchase.

Which TV features are worth paying for?

Native refresh rate: separate panel speed from motion branding

A 60Hz panel refreshes up to 60 times per second; 120Hz and 144Hz panels can display higher-frame-rate sources when the input and TV support the mode. Marketing labels such as “Motion Rate 240” may describe motion processing rather than a native 240Hz panel. For gaming, check the manufacturer’s specifications for native refresh rate, supported resolution and which input provides the stated mode.

HDMI 2.1, VRR and console or PC gaming

For a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, look for 4K/120Hz support, variable refresh rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). Check how many HDMI ports support the full bandwidth; some sets provide the highest capability on only one or two ports. eARC is useful for sending audio to a soundbar or receiver. PC players may value 144Hz or higher and full-bandwidth input support; Nintendo Switch and casual console players may not benefit enough from 120Hz to justify a large premium.

The LG B5’s four HDMI 2.1 inputs, 4K/120Hz, VRR and FreeSync are a notable feature set in its value class, according to Tom’s Guide. The TCL QM7K is cited by TechRadar for 4K/144Hz, FreeSync Premium Pro and low tested input lag; confirm the exact input and supported mode for the size you are considering.

HDR formats: compatibility is not picture quality

Compare Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG support if you use services or devices that provide them. But a format logo alone does not mean HDR will look bright or detailed: peak brightness, local dimming and tone mapping matter. Samsung TVs do not support Dolby Vision, so buyers who specifically want that format should compare other brands’ models. The Samsung S90F is a strong QD-OLED contender in current coverage, but its lack of Dolby Vision is a relevant trade-off.

Smart-TV software

Google TV, Roku TV, Fire TV, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS differ in interface, app availability, advertising, voice assistants and update policies. Choose the interface you will actually use, and check that your essential apps are available. If you dislike the built-in software or it becomes sluggish, an external streaming device can provide a different interface; it does not improve the panel or HDR performance.

Audio and bundles

Thin televisions often have limited bass and soundstage. Dolby Atmos support or passthrough is not a promise of cinematic sound from built-in speakers. A soundbar connected through eARC may be a more useful upgrade. Best Buy’s listings include select TV bundles and soundbar savings, plus some delivery, mounting or unboxing benefits; check eligibility and compare the bundle’s effective price with buying the TV and audio separately. See current TV and home-theater promotions.

How to tell a real bargain from a weak deal

  • Compare like with like. Match exact model number, size and configuration; a model family can have different features by size.
  • Treat reference prices cautiously. “Was” may mean MSRP, a recent selling price or a comparison price. Unless you have reliable price history, call it a retailer reference price, not a record low.
  • Do not buy on discount percentage alone. Picture quality, useful features and the credibility of the comparison price matter more than a large red percentage.
  • Check year and tier. A discounted 2025 flagship may be a better buy than a 2026 entry model. “Latest” is not synonymous with best value.
  • Verify the seller and condition. Confirm sold by, shipped by, new versus open-box or refurbished, manufacturer warranty, return window and whether return shipping is charged. This is especially important for marketplace offers.
  • Confirm the claim at checkout. Some offers require a membership, coupon, financing, credit card, qualifying purchase or in-cart price. Best Buy’s promotions include such conditions on select listings.
  • Do not overvalue specifications without context. Dolby Vision does not guarantee strong HDR, and a 144Hz label is only meaningful if the panel and input support the mode you need.
  • Allow for unit variation. Panel uniformity can vary between examples of the same model, so a review cannot guarantee that every individual unit will look identical.

Best Buy’s price-drop and seasonal listings show why offer terms need reading: some promotions involve card benefits, bundles, delivery or cart pricing rather than a simple unconditional markdown.

Should you buy now or wait until Labor Day?

Buy now if the exact model and size you want is at a price you consider strong, the retailer’s return and delivery terms work for you, and stock is available. A clearance set can disappear before the holiday, especially in popular sizes.

Wait if the deal is only a modest markdown, the model is widely available, and you are willing to compare prices again. Promotions may change closer to the holiday, but there is no guarantee that a particular model will become cheaper; a larger advertised percentage can also reflect a less useful comparison price. Recheck your shortlist between September 1 and September 7, and compare the final cart price and terms rather than relying on the headline discount.

As of August 18, 2026, the listed offers are snapshots only. Prices, availability, seller and promotional conditions can change; some offers may require membership, coupon, financing or an in-cart price.
