The application window for Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s Inspector (Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs) recruitment closed before 5 p.m. on 23 August 2024. It is not currently open. APPSC advertised eight posts at Pay Matrix Level 6 on 24 July 2024; later notices show the recruitment advanced to written-exam and interview stages.
What the 2024 APPSC Inspector notice said
APPSC invited applications for Inspector (Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs) posts in the Arunachal Pradesh Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs. The advertisement was dated 24 July 2024 and listed eight posts at Pay Matrix Level 6. The application period ran from 25 July to before 5 p.m. on 23 August 2024. APPSC’s official recruitment information is the authority for those notice details.
The stated pay level does not, by itself, establish a precise salary range or take-home pay. The available notice information also does not establish the post’s education requirements, age limits or relaxations, category-wise vacancies, application fee, domicile conditions, exam scheme, or syllabus. Applicants should not rely on an unsourced figure or assume criteria from another APPSC recruitment apply to this post.
Registration is closed; later recruitment notices followed
The 2024 application deadline has passed, so the old notice should not be treated as an open application opportunity. APPSC’s notifications index lists later notices for the Inspector written examination, admit card, interview/viva-voce, and cut-off/marksheet. These notices show that the recruitment progressed beyond registration, but the index alone does not establish a final appointment outcome. Check APPSC’s official notifications index for any current official update.

How APPSC applications generally work
For future APPSC vacancies, the commission’s general online process uses One Time Registration (OTR), followed by a separate application for the advertised post. OTR creates a reusable profile and dashboard; it is not itself an application. APPSC instructs applicants to register, log in with the same credentials, select a notified post, complete and submit its application, and pay the applicable fee. The commission advises checking entered details before submission and says an application is complete only after the fee is paid. APPSC’s online application guidance provides the general workflow.
The OTR page currently displays upload limits of 40–100 KB for a colour photograph, 20–50 KB for a black-ink signature on a white background, and 100–300 KB for each document or testimonial file. These are current portal instructions, not verified terms of the 2024 Inspector advertisement; check the specific notice and live portal when applying for a future post. APPSC describes its OTR account this way: “Register once, then use the same account to apply for any post advertised by the Commission.” See the OTR page.
