This is a historical recruitment update, not a new 2026 release.
What the 2024 notice said
The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam notice covered 164 Constable (AB) posts in Assam Commando Battalions under the recruitment advertisement dated 6 October 2023. It listed 18 November 2024 as the start date for downloading PST/PET admit cards and 25 November 2024 as the start date for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Read the notice copy. Contemporaneous coverage by Hindustan Times on 18 November 2024 also reported the admit cards as released that day.
Where candidates were directed to download the admit card
The notice directed candidates to download the hall ticket from the SLPRB website, slprbassam.in, with effect from 18 November 2024. Candidates were instructed to report to the test venue shown on their individual admit card. The 2024 download date has passed; this information does not establish that the old link remains active.
What is—and is not—confirmed about the physical tests
The Commando Battalion notice confirms that both PST and PET were scheduled, but it does not provide race distances, performance cutoffs, or a detailed list of documents to carry. A separate notice for broader Assam constable recruitment lists 3,200 metres for male candidates and 1,600 metres for female candidates; those distances should not be assumed to apply to the Commando Battalion recruitment without a Commando-specific confirmation. See the broader constable notice.
