What the 2025 notification covered
Advertisement No. 04/25, listed by APSSB on 16 July 2025, covered 461 vacancies across multiple post codes. The notice’s grand total allocates 348 vacancies to APST candidates and 113 to the unreserved category. Roles included constable posts, Fireman, Laboratory Attendant, Library Attendant, Manual Assistant and several Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts. Vacancy allocation and requirements vary by post code, so the total alone does not establish eligibility for any particular role.

Vacancies and eligibility depend on the post code
There is no single education, age or pay requirement for all 461 vacancies. The advertisement sets out post-specific qualifications, age limits, pay levels and selection requirements. For example, listed constable vacancies generally require Class X qualification and include physical tests, while other roles have their own criteria. Age limits and applicable relaxations also depend on the post grouping and provisions for APST candidates, persons with benchmark disabilities and ex-servicemen.
Before using the advertisement to assess an application or compare roles, identify the post code and check its row in the full notice. Also review later notices or corrigenda that apply to that post. Do not assume that a requirement stated for one role applies to another.

Selection stages and physical tests
The original advertisement sets out different selection arrangements by post code:
- Post codes 15/25, 16/25, 17/25 and 18/25: three stages are specified.
- Post codes 19/25 through 29/25: Stage I only is specified in the original notice.
Physical Efficiency Tests and Physical Standard Tests apply to specified posts. Consult the relevant post-code details for the applicable stages and standards. The original schedule should be treated as tentative; later official notices are the appropriate source for updates.

Applicants considering which post to select needed to compare the specific post details, not just the number of vacancies. Relevant differences include department and role, APST and unreserved allocation, qualification or experience, age limit and relaxations, pay matrix level, physical requirements and selection stages. The advertisement states that submitted post preferences are final, so preference order should be checked carefully against the post details before submission.
