- the company’s registered office, not merely a correspondence address;
- the regulator supervising its investment services;

- the bank or custodian holding client money; and

If the firm will not provide this information, or supplies details that cannot be confirmed on a regulator’s own website, do not send money.

Do not accept a new “recovery agent” who contacts you after the original firm. Fraudsters frequently target people who have already lost money and promise recovery in return for an upfront payment.
If you have already deposited money
- Stop sending funds and do not take out a loan to meet a withdrawal demand.
- Contact your bank, card issuer or payment provider immediately. Ask whether a card chargeback, bank-transfer recall or fraud report is available.
- Change passwords reused on the broker’s site and enable two-factor authentication.
- Save transaction records, wallet addresses, account statements, chats, emails, caller IDs and screenshots.
- Report the firm to the financial regulator in your country and to local law enforcement or a national fraud-reporting service.
- If you installed remote-access software, uninstall it, run a security scan and check your banking activity from a clean device.
Report quickly. Payment providers have different deadlines, and a completed bank transfer or cryptocurrency transaction may be difficult to recover.

Do not deposit money based on a polished website, a trading-platform login, displayed profits or promises of guaranteed returns.
