How did Witchery explain its sizing change?
Witchery said sizing from 10 upward had become more generous and invited customers who previously wore its size 20 to try the new 18. The brand told PerthNow: “From size 10 and up, our sizing has become more generous, so if you were a size 20 with Witchery before, we welcome you to try an 18 instead.”
In a fuller explanation reported by 7NEWS, Witchery said size 20 represented a small percentage of sales and customer feedback had identified inconsistencies between styles. The company said it had worked to improve sizing accuracy and consistency, and that the new size 18 fit closely to the former size 20. Those statements describe the brand’s rationale; the coverage did not provide sales figures or independent garment measurements to verify the claims.

What does the current size listing show?
Witchery Australia’s new-arrivals listing currently includes size 18 among its filters but does not list size 20. That is a snapshot of the new-arrivals page, not a check of every garment or collection; availability can vary by item and over time.
What can and can’t be concluded about fit?
