For Italian readers, a separate operation called Ikon CFD was the subject of CONSOB enforcement action in 2023. That action named the ikon-cfd.com family of domains, not ikonfinance.com. The names should not be treated as proof of common ownership, but the enforcement history is an important warning for anyone contacted by an Ikon-branded trading website or salesperson.

What is Ikon Finance today?
Ikon Finance is best described as a historical UK FX and CFD brand whose current brokerage operations cannot be verified. Older broker reviews describe MT4 accounts, minimum deposits, leverage and spreads, but the official website no longer confirms those products or provides a functioning retail-broker service.
The current ikonfinance.com website has been observed as either “UNDER CONSTRUCTION” or showing a request-verification page. It does not currently provide a reliable route to:

- open a live trading account;
- complete identity verification;
- deposit or withdraw funds;
- download MT4 or another trading platform;
- check current spreads, commissions or swaps;
- read current client terms;
- confirm client-money arrangements; or
- verify access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or FSCS protection.
That absence matters more than the claims found in old review pages. A broker’s historical products are not evidence that the same terms, entity or regulatory permissions exist now.

“Active” in a Companies House search does not mean that a company is trading or authorised to provide investments. In this case, the same official record identifies dormant accounts, overdue filings and an active strike-off proposal.
The filing history records a first compulsory strike-off Gazette notice on 10 December 2024. Strike-off action was suspended on 14 January 2025, and the registered office was changed to the Companies House default address on 2 July 2025. The available record does not show newer operating accounts or a current confirmation statement; the last confirmation statement shown was dated 19 February 2024.

The Financial Conduct Authority previously identified Ikon Finance Limited as the genuine firm associated with FRN 525113 in a warning about a separate clone operation. The warning was first published on 25 February 2015 and updated on 21 November 2020.
That historic reference does not prove that Ikon Finance is currently authorised to accept UK clients. Current permission must be checked in the FCA’s live Financial Services Register or through the FCA Firm Checker. The check needs to match the exact legal entity, website, contact details and investment services being offered.

The FCA’s historic warning gave the following details for the genuine firm at that time:
- 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU;
- telephone number +44 20 3384 0750;
- website ikonfinance.com; and
- FRN 525113.
Old contact details should not be used to authenticate a present-day caller or website.
Do not confuse Ikon Finance with Ikon Group
The FCA warning concerned Ikon Group, using ikonfx.com, which the FCA described as a clone of an authorised firm. The warning stated that the clone had no affiliation or relationship with Ikon Finance Limited.
Consequently, a website or salesperson cannot establish authenticity merely by using the word “Ikon”, quoting FRN 525113 or repeating historical London contact details. A genuine match requires all of the following to correspond:
- the legal entity shown in the FCA record;
- the domain name and telephone details shown by the FCA;
- the permissions relevant to the service offered; and
- the payment and account-opening information supplied to the customer.
Italy: CONSOB warnings and the Ikon CFD distinction
No current Italian Ikon Finance website, Italian client agreement, Italian-language onboarding process, CONSOB authorisation record or current Italian branch information has been verified in the available official material.
CONSOB did, however, take action against a separate operation called Ikon CFD. In an order dated 3 May 2023 and published in a 8 May communication, CONSOB required internet providers to block access from Italy to:

CONSOB said the websites offered financial services without the required authorisation and ordered the operator to stop violating Article 18 of Italy’s Consolidated Law on Finance.
A later CONSOB resolution dated 14 June 2023 concerned ikoncfd-24.com, my.ikoncfd-24.com and webtrader.ikoncfd-24.com. The resolution described a service offering trading-account registration and orders in financial instruments and noted that it purported to have an Australian registered office.
These measures establish that CONSOB acted against the named Ikon CFD websites. They do not, on the evidence cited here, prove that ikonfinance.com was the same operator. That distinction is important: similar branding is a reason to investigate, not proof of corporate identity.
Historical account types, deposits and trading conditions
A 2017 third-party review described several former products, including:

- Ikon Pro.
It reported historical minimum deposits from approximately $500 to $1,500, leverage of up to 1:500 and spreads ranging from about 0.3 pips plus commission to 1 pip, depending on the account.
Those figures must not be presented as current terms. Another review updated in 2026 repeats historical details such as MT4, Ikon Prodigy, a $200 minimum deposit and 1:30 leverage while also saying that Ikon Finance is no longer active and that its FCA licence is not confirmed. That contradiction makes the figures unsuitable for a current comparison.

There is no current official pricing or account schedule that supports quoting these terms as available to new customers.
Protection and complaints
Do not assume that a historic FCA association provides current UK protection. The FCA advises consumers to confirm that a firm is authorised and has permission for the specific activity involved. Dealing with an unauthorised firm generally means that the customer may not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and may not be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

A logo, an Italian-language website or a claim that funds are “segregated” is not a substitute for checking the regulator’s record.

United Kingdom: high verification risk
The UK position is concerning because the named company is dormant, filings are overdue, a strike-off proposal remains active and the website is not a transparent working brokerage. The old FCA warning is useful historical context, but it is not confirmation of current authorisation.
Italy: very high regulatory and impersonation risk
There is no verified current Italian Ikon Finance service in the material reviewed. In addition, CONSOB has taken action against websites using the Ikon CFD name. Anyone approached by a broker using an Ikon brand should assume that identity and authorisation need to be independently proven before any money or documents are sent.
What to do before sending money
- Write down the exact domain, legal name, telephone number and bank-account beneficiary.
- Search the FCA Financial Services Register if the provider claims to serve UK customers.
- Search CONSOB’s official registers and warnings if the provider is targeting Italy.
- Check that the regulator’s legal entity and domain match the details supplied by the salesperson.
- Do not rely on an FRN, licence number, logo or screenshot without confirming it on the regulator’s own website.
- Do not install remote-access software or allow a salesperson to control your computer.
- If you have already paid, contact your bank or card issuer immediately and preserve emails, messages, account statements and wallet addresses.
FAQ
Is Ikon Finance regulated in the UK?
Current UK authorisation to accept new clients is not verified. Ikon Finance Limited was historically associated with FCA FRN 525113 in a clone warning, but the company is now listed by Companies House as dormant with overdue filings and an active proposal to strike off. Check the FCA’s live register rather than relying on historic reviews or the old FRN.

Is Ikon Finance available in Italy?
No current Italian Ikon Finance service or CONSOB authorisation was verified. CONSOB separately acted against Ikon CFD websites in 2023, including the ikon-cfd.com domain family. That enforcement action should not automatically be treated as proof that ikonfinance.com is the same operation.
