On November 3, 2025, ProPakistani reported that Air Karachi planned to launch flight operations on March 23, 2026, following the inauguration of its operations office at Karachi’s Old Airport. ProPakistani’s report and separate TechJuice coverage both give that planned start date.
That is evidence of an announced schedule, not proof of a completed departure. The distinction matters: an airline can announce a launch date and make operational preparations without a passenger flight taking place on that date.
What the preparations do—and do not—show
A Competition Commission of Pakistan draft aviation assessment says Air Karachi secured a Regular Public Transport (RPT) licence, signed a maintenance and operations agreement with PIA, and planned domestic flights to begin on March 23, 2026. These details corroborate the reported plan and preparations, but do not establish that the airline actually started carrying passengers.

The date is now in the past. The available Karachi airport schedule page is a changing cache, so it cannot reliably prove whether Air Karachi did or did not begin service. No verified route, flight number, or actual first departure is established by the sources available here.
What travelers should take from the date
For a traveler deciding whether to plan around Air Karachi, the reported March 23 date alone is not confirmation that seats were available or that service began. Check for a current, bookable itinerary and confirm flight details directly with the airline or airport before making plans.
