There is an important difference between “I could not verify this broker” and “this broker is proven fraudulent.” The former is the responsible conclusion when reliable regulatory and corporate evidence is missing. It is also a sufficient reason not to deposit funds.
Regulation is the first test
A forex broker handling retail clients should identify the regulator that authorizes it and the legal entity covered by that authorization. The name on the licence must match the company in the broker’s client agreement and account-opening documents.

An offshore registration is not automatically fake, but it usually offers weaker protections than a major retail regime. A broker’s claim that it is “globally regulated” is meaningless unless it names the jurisdiction and licence.
Why the website alone is not evidence
Fraudulent and poorly supervised brokers can copy the appearance of legitimate firms. Professional branding, MetaTrader access, customer testimonials, SSL encryption, and a polished dashboard do not prove that client money is safe.

- Terms and conditions identifying the contracting company;
- client agreement and risk disclosure;
- order-execution policy;
- fees, spreads, swap and inactivity-charge schedule;
- complaints procedure;
- privacy and data-processing policy; and
- clear withdrawal rules.
Read the withdrawal section especially carefully. A broker may lawfully require identity checks, source-of-funds information, and repayment to the original funding method. Those controls are different from demanding a new payment before an existing balance can be released.
Withdrawal demands are the decisive warning sign
Stop sending money if Gotechfx—or anyone claiming to represent it—says you must pay an additional deposit, tax, insurance charge, security fee, account-upgrade fee, or percentage of profits before withdrawing. This is a classic advance-fee pattern.

Be particularly cautious when a contact:
- promises guaranteed or unusually consistent returns;
- pressures you to deposit more after a profitable trade;
- moves the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram, or a personal social-media account;
- claims that a regulator, bank, or tax authority is holding your withdrawal;
- offers to recover money for an upfront fee; or
- asks for cryptocurrency, gift cards, remote-computer access, or payment to a different person or company.
Trading conditions do not settle the legitimacy question

- Read the withdrawal terms before funding. Save a PDF or screenshots of the current terms.

If you have already sent money
- Stop making further deposits, including “tax,” “verification,” or “recovery” payments.
- Save account statements, wallet addresses, transaction IDs, emails, chats, phone numbers, contracts, and screenshots.
- Contact your card issuer or bank using the number on the card or statement. Ask whether a chargeback, recall, or fraud report is possible.
- If cryptocurrency was used, report the transaction to the exchange that sent or received the funds, although crypto transfers are usually difficult to reverse.
