Treat £354.99 as a dated reported price, not a guaranteed price today, and check the retailer’s listing before you buy.
What the UK deal reports say
TechRadar reported on 5 October 2026 that Amazon UK had the Nintendo Switch 2 for £354.99, compared with a stated £419.99 reference price. The same report said Argos, John Lewis and Smyths Toys were matching £354.99. Those are publisher-reported prices, not independently confirmed listings or proof that stock is still available.

Creative Bloq also reported the £354.99 Amazon price, but its articles used different comparison prices. The variation matters: a retailer’s stated “was” price is not a single verified market benchmark across these reports.

Is there a verified non-Amazon discount?
The reports name three non-Amazon retailers—Argos, John Lewis and Smyths Toys—as matching Amazon’s reported £354.99 price. They do not establish which of those, if any, is the specific non-Amazon offer implied by the headline, nor do they verify that a matching listing remains available now. The evidence therefore supports a dated UK price report, not a claim that a particular non-Amazon deal is currently live.

Before treating a match as a deal, compare the same console model or bundle at each retailer. The cited reports do not independently establish delivery charges, delivery timing, seller identity, eligibility conditions, exact bundle contents or the offer end date.
Check the total cost before ordering
A lower headline price only helps if the listing is for the console you intend to buy and the final checkout total works for your budget. On the retailer’s own product page, verify:

- The stated offer end date, if one is given, and whether the price still appears at checkout.
For a fair comparison, record the final payable total and the same model or bundle at each retailer. A reported price match is not necessarily an identical offer once delivery, stock and conditions are considered.

Nintendo Wire’s 6 October 2026 Amazon roundup covered Switch 2 games and items such as a Samsung P9 microSD Express 512GB card, a case and controllers. Those are separate purchases; their inclusion in a deals roundup is not evidence of a discount on the console. Add them to the comparison only if you already need them, and assess their cost separately.
