Amazon’s Presidents’ Day sale in 2025 was tied to Monday, February 17, and has ended. Archived coverage from that weekend points to deals across home goods, bedding, appliances, fashion, beauty and electronics—but it does not verify the title’s “thousands of deals” count or the recommendations attributed to Real Simple’s shopping editor. Treat every price and discount from those roundups as historical, not as a current offer.
When was Amazon’s Presidents’ Day sale in 2025?
Presidents’ Day fell on Monday, February 17, 2025. USA TODAY’s shopping guide and several same-weekend deal roundups were published on February 14 or 17, 2025, so their recommendations describe a past shopping event, not a sale still running today.
Contemporaneous coverage framed the event as broad shopping roundups rather than one consistent Amazon product list. NBC Select covered bedding, appliances and household essentials; USA TODAY included electronics, home goods and beauty tech; TODAY covered home, fashion, beauty and technology. ELLE and ELLE Decor also published fashion, accessories, beauty, furniture and decor picks.
What kinds of deals did the 2025 roundups cover?
- Home and household: bedding, appliances, household essentials, furniture and decor appeared across the NBC Select, USA TODAY, TODAY and ELLE Decor roundups.
- Fashion and beauty: TODAY and ELLE included fashion and beauty selections, while ELLE also covered accessories.
- Electronics and beauty tech: USA TODAY’s guide included both categories; TODAY’s roundup also covered technology.
- Rugs: ELLE Decor’s February 14, 2025 article included a patterned rug linked to Amazon. That establishes it as a product featured in a dated roundup, not that the same listing, stock or price remains available.
These categories help describe the breadth of the archived coverage, but they do not establish that every product named in the supplied title—such as clothes, jewelry or rugs—appeared in the specific Real Simple article it refers to.

How should you read the archived discount claims?
USA TODAY described discounts of up to 40% in its February 17, 2025 guide. TODAY’s February 17 headline advertised markdowns as high as 63%. Those were each publication’s maximum-discount claims for its 2025 roundup, not typical savings, independently verified savings across all Amazon products, or current discounts.
An advertised maximum does not tell you how many items qualified, whether a particular size or color was included, or what an item cost before the event. Since the sale is over, use those percentages only as historical context; check a live listing and its current price before buying anything.

Can the recommendations be attributed to Real Simple?
The available contemporaneous sources do not verify the exact Real Simple article, its editor attribution, its item list or its use of the “thousands of deals” wording. It would therefore be inaccurate to present any specific product recommendation or deal count as confirmed by Real Simple.
NBC Select’s 2025 roundup offers a separate example of editorial deal curation: associate SEO reporter Ashley Morris wrote, “I found, vetted and wrote about every deal below.” That describes her process for that NBC Select article; it is not a claim that she independently tested every product.
