TurnKey was paused in 2020. Its benefit consisted of home services and installed smart-home products, with the package tied to the home’s purchase price and a qualifying purchase through a participating agent.
What was Amazon TurnKey?
Announced on July 23, 2019, TurnKey connected interested homebuyers with participating agents affiliated with Realogy brands. Buyers who closed on a home with the agent they were connected to through TurnKey could qualify for a post-closing Amazon Move-In Benefit. The partnership was a referral and move-in service, not an unrestricted rebate or payment of cash. Realogy’s launch announcement described the benefit as complimentary services and smart-home products.
The launch footprint was 15 U.S. markets: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Orlando, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, and Washington, D.C. This was the program’s original market list, not evidence of current coverage.
How much was the benefit?
Contemporaneous coverage reported three historical benefit tiers based on the home’s purchase price. These figures describe TurnKey’s 2019 launch terms; they should not be read as offers available today.
#1 Best Overall
| Home purchase price | Reported Move-In Benefit value |
|---|---|
| $150,000 to under $400,000 | $1,000 |
| $400,000 to under $700,000 | $2,500 |
| $700,000 or more | $5,000 |
The Washington Post and CBS News reported these price tiers in 2019. The benefit’s stated value was delivered as eligible products and services, rather than cash a buyer could use for any purpose. The Washington Post’s report and CBS News’ coverage describe the offer and its tiers.
What did the move-in benefit include?
Realogy’s announcement listed home services such as deep cleaning, furniture assembly, picture hanging, shelving installation, and TV mounting, along with a curated suite of smart-home products installed by Amazon or Amazon-vetted professionals. It also referred to an Amazon Happiness Guarantee. The mix varied by purchase-price tier, so no single bundle was guaranteed to every buyer.

Is the Amazon–Realogy offer still available?
Current availability could not be verified. RealtyBizNews reported on May 14, 2020, that Realogy was pausing TurnKey. The report attributed the decision to the pandemic’s impact on the in-home services and installations at the center of the offer. CEO Ryan Schneider told investors, “In a COVID world, bluntly, it didn’t make sense to continue that pilot.” The contemporaneous report documents the pause.
