Amazon Australia announced free same-day delivery in Perth on 6 May 2025 for Prime members ordering eligible items over $49. At launch, orders placed by midday could arrive before 10pm that day—but service depended on the delivery address and the products in the order. Amazon’s 23 July 2026 update still listed Perth among its same-day delivery locations; check the address and checkout terms for a specific order.
What Amazon announced for Perth
The 6 May 2025 launch made Prime Free Same-Day Delivery available to the majority of Perth residents, according to Amazon Australia’s announcement. The announcement described a city-level rollout, not a guarantee that every Perth address qualified.

At launch, the offer applied to eligible orders over $49. Amazon said customers could place orders as late as midday for delivery before 10pm the same day. These were the terms announced at launch; delivery eligibility and conditions can change, so the current checkout information should guide an order.
Who and what qualified?
Prime membership and order minimum
The launch offer was for Prime members, with a minimum eligible order value of over $49. An order needed to meet the threshold and contain eligible items; simply having a Perth delivery address did not make every purchase eligible.

Address and product eligibility
Amazon said eligible product pages or app listings would show “Today by 10pm” or a “Prime Same-Day” badge. Check the delivery estimate against the intended address and the individual item, since coverage varied and the launch statement said “the majority” of Perth residents.
Product categories
Amazon named everyday essentials, electronics, home and kitchen, beauty, video games, books, toys, clothes and shoes as categories that included eligible products. The category list does not mean every product in those categories qualified.

Is same-day delivery still listed for Perth?
Yes. In an Amazon Australia release dated 23 July 2026, Perth was among the Australian locations listed for Prime Free Same-Day Delivery on eligible orders over $49. This confirms Perth remained on Amazon’s service-location list at that date; it does not establish availability at every address or for every item. Use the delivery date and any fee displayed for your address and basket at checkout.

Janet Menzies, Country Manager, Amazon Australia, called the launch “a game-changing milestone” and said the company had recorded an “over 40% increase in same and next-day deliveries between 2023 and 2024.” Amazon also said more than 40 million items arrived same-day or next-day in 2024, describing that as a year-over-year increase of more than 40% in its delivery performance announcement. These are company-reported figures, not an independent measure of the Australian delivery market.
