The promotion was a limited-time December 2024 offer with StudentUniverse for qualifying Prime for young adults members. Amazon’s announcement says the travel discount has ended; it does not announce a 2026 return.
What Amazon’s $25 flight promotion offered
Amazon announced 5,000 domestic U.S. flight tickets priced at $25 each through booking partner StudentUniverse. The tickets were for flights within the 50 states and the District of Columbia, subject to availability, with travel scheduled from December 9, 2024, through January 14, 2025. Amazon’s announcement says booking was set to open at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on December 9, with 1,000 tickets released each day through December 13.
StudentUniverse was the booking partner; Amazon did not describe itself as an airline or flight operator. The deal was an airfare promotion, not a general discount for all Prime members.
Who was eligible
The promotion was for qualifying customers aged 18–24 enrolled in Prime for young adults who activated the StudentUniverse benefit. Amazon’s page separately describes the membership as available to people aged 18–24 and higher-education students of any age. That broader membership description should not be read as proof that students over 24 qualified for this flight promotion: its promotion terms specifically name customers aged 18–24.

Is Prime for young adults still available?
Yes. Amazon says people aged 18–24 can still join Prime for young adults, but that membership is separate from the expired flight offer. The page lists a six-month trial for new members, followed by $7.49 per month or $69 per year. These are the prices stated on Amazon’s page and may change; they do not restore eligibility for the 2024 flights.
Could the $25 flights return?
Amazon’s announcement provides no evidence that the promotion will return in 2026. Treat it as a past offer, not a recurring holiday benefit or an active fare. If you are looking for current airfare, check the booking provider’s live terms and compare the full price, including taxes and fees, along with travel dates, route restrictions, and change or cancellation rules.
