No current opening or reopening was verified as of October 7, 2026. Check the Assam Public Service Commission’s official notices for any newer recruitment; a general recruitment page is not proof that applications for this post are active.
Is the APSC Enforcement Inspector application open?
No active application window was verified as of October 7, 2026. The “registration window closes today” headline refers to APSC Advertisement 17/2024, not a current deadline. Do not rely on an old application portal link as a live apply link; first confirm that APSC has issued a newer notice and that its application dates are open.
What was the actual last date in Advertisement 17/2024?
The official advertisement, dated August 6, 2024, states that online applications closed on September 13, 2024, and gives September 15, 2024 as the final date to pay the fee. Scroll published a story on September 20, 2024 saying the window would close that day. The dates conflict: the advertisement is the primary record for the recruitment terms, so its September 13 application deadline should not be silently replaced by the later news report’s date.
For a future cycle, use the dates in that cycle’s official APSC notice. Application and fee-payment deadlines may differ.

How to find a current APSC Enforcement Inspector apply link
- Open the official APSC website and look for current recruitment notices or advertisements.
- Check that a notice specifically announces Enforcement Inspector vacancies and read its publication date, application opening and closing dates, fee deadline, eligibility, and application instructions.
- Use the application link provided in that active notice or the official portal it identifies. Confirm the portal is associated with that notice before entering personal details or paying a fee.
- If no current notice with an open application period is listed, there is no verified active apply link for this post.
The 2024 notice directed candidates to apply online through the APSC recruitment portal. That historical route does not establish that the same portal or application remains active now.
What the 2024 recruitment offered
Advertisement 17/2024 covered 27 Enforcement Inspector posts under Assam’s Transport Department. Its pay scale was ₹22,000–₹97,000, with ₹9,400 grade pay under Pay Band 3. These figures describe that recruitment only; they should not be assumed for a later notice.

Who was eligible under the 2024 notice?
Residency
Candidates had to be permanent residents of Assam and provide either an Assam-issued Permanent Resident Certificate for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as residency proof.
Education
The notice specified either a degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a university recognized by the Government of Assam, or HSLC followed by a three-year diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute of the Government of Assam or Government of India, with AICTE recognition.

Age
The stated age range was 21 to 38 years as of January 1, 2024. The notice provided five years of upper-age relaxation for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC/MOBC candidates, along with separate provisions for ex-servicemen. These age terms are specific to the 2024 cycle and are not a guide to eligibility for a future recruitment.
What were the 2024 application fees?
The notice listed total fees of ₹297.20 for General candidates, ₹197.20 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates, and ₹47.20 for BPL candidates. These are the amounts in Advertisement 17/2024, not confirmed fees for any later cycle.

For that cycle, candidates without an account first completed One Time Registration on the APSC recruitment portal, then logged in, filled in the application and supporting-document details, paid the applicable fee, and retained a printout of the completed form.
