Those offers have expired. Amazon said select daily deals featured “some of the lowest prices of the year so far,” but that promotional wording does not establish that every offer—or any particular item—hit its 2024 price low.
When was Amazon’s 2024 Black Friday sale?
In the United States, Amazon’s Black Friday Week began November 21, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. PST and ended November 29 at 11:59 p.m. PST, which was Black Friday. Amazon’s broader Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deal events continued through December 2. The company said deals dropped daily and some limited-time offers lasted only while supplies lasted. About Amazon’s U.S. date explainer and Amazon’s event announcement describe the schedules.
Amazon.co.uk advertised a separate UK Black Friday Week running November 21 through December 2, 2024, with up to 40% off hundreds of thousands of deals. That UK promotion should not be confused with the U.S. Black Friday Week end date or U.S. offers. Amazon UK’s date announcement gives the UK schedule.
Did Amazon’s deals guarantee the lowest price of the year?
No. Amazon described select themed daily deal drops as offering “some of the lowest prices of the year so far.” That was Amazon’s promotional claim about selected products, not evidence that every deal was the lowest price of 2024 or that a particular item beat its own historical low.

The sources announcing and reviewing the event do not provide item-by-item price histories. Anyone assessing a sale price would need to compare the exact model and condition, its price history, delivery cost, return terms, marketplace and offer expiry. Without those details, the event announcements cannot establish that a given deal was objectively the best price.
What products and categories did Amazon highlight?
Products previewed before the U.S. event
Amazon’s U.S. announcement previewed up to 55% off select Amazon devices, including Echo Pop, Echo Buds, Echo Dot (5th Gen), eero mesh Wi-Fi systems, Fire TV televisions, Ring devices, Fire HD 8, and Kindle products. The “up to” discount applied to select products; it was not a stated discount for every model in those ranges.

The same announcement named select toys and apparel, headphones, vacuums, laptops and kitchen appliances among other deal categories. These were historical examples from the 2024 promotion, not current offers or recommendations.
Products Amazon reported as best-selling during the event
In its post-event account, Amazon said Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick 4K were among the best-selling Alexa-enabled products. It also named Electronics, Toys and Beauty among popular categories, citing examples such as Beats headphones, Samsung TVs, Barbie, Play-Doh, Shark vacuums and air purifiers, and Medicube beauty products. Amazon did not publish unit counts with this retrospective, so “best-selling” is the company’s description rather than a quantified ranking. Amazon’s event results provide the examples.

What do Amazon’s event-wide statistics show?
Amazon reported that a new independent Profitero study found its prices averaged 14% lower than other leading U.S. retailers entering the holiday season, for the eighth year in a row. This was a broad comparison reported by Amazon, not an item-by-item Black Friday price study. The post does not state the comparison methodology in the text cited here, so the figure should not be read as proof that a specific product was cheaper on Amazon during the sale.
Amazon also said more than 60% of sales in its store during the event came from independent sellers. That is Amazon’s reported share; the post does not present it as an independently verified measure. These figures describe the retailer’s overall account of the event, not the value or price history of an individual purchase.

How could shoppers follow the event while it was live?
For the 2024 U.S. event, Amazon directed shoppers to browse its Deals page and suggested asking Alexa, “what are my deals?” These were ways to find offers at the time; they do not indicate that the expired Black Friday promotions remain available now. Amazon’s event explainer included both suggestions.
What to take away from the 2024 sale
Amazon’s 2024 event included a broad mix of device, electronics, toy, beauty and household offers, and the company highlighted select deals as some of its lowest prices of the year so far. The event is over, and the cited sources do not substantiate a universal lowest-price claim or verify individual products’ historical lows. Country-specific schedules and promotions also differed.
