Alaska’s announced Seattle 787 routes for 2026
Alaska’s December 10, 2025 route list describes the following 787 services from Seattle. The table reflects the airline’s published schedule pattern, not a guarantee that every departure will operate as listed.

Alaska’s official route list identifies the service patterns, while its subsequent launch announcements confirm the London and Rome start dates. Check the airline’s live schedule for your travel date and aircraft assignment, particularly for dates beyond a route’s announced start. Tokyo and Seoul are the other 787 destinations
Beyond the two European 787 routes, the announced Seattle network includes daily service to Tokyo Narita and five-times-weekly service to Seoul Incheon, both listed as year-round. Reykjavík is a 737 route
Alaska also announced Seattle–Reykjavík (KEF), with daily summer-season service beginning May 28, 2026. It is assigned to a 737-8 MAX, also referred to as a 737 MAX 8, so it should not be counted among the airline’s 787 routes. See Alaska’s 2026 route announcement for the aircraft and launch details.
The 2030 network target is not a 2026 route list
Alaska said in August 2025 that it aims to serve at least 12 intercontinental destinations from Seattle by 2030. That is a company goal, not confirmation of 12 routes in 2026. The airline’s announcement discusses its longer-term expansion alongside the nearer-term routes.

How to compare the European options
For travelers choosing between Alaska’s announced Seattle flights to Europe, the key distinctions are schedule season and aircraft:
- London: Daily and year-round, on the 787-9, starting May 21, 2026.
- Rome: Daily during the summer season, on the 787-9, starting April 28, 2026.
- Reykjavík: Daily during the summer season, on a 737 MAX 8, starting May 28, 2026.
Alaska said Rome’s planned frequency increased from four flights weekly to daily after strong customer response. The airline’s April 2026 launch release confirms the April 28 start; it does not establish a seasonal end date. Check the schedule for your dates rather than assuming a seasonal flight operates throughout the year. Details appear in Alaska’s Rome announcement and its 2026 route list.

What Alaska says is onboard its 787-9
Alaska describes 34 enclosed International Business Class Suites on its 787-9, with lie-flat seats, direct aisle access and multi-course dining. The 34-suite configuration is also specified for the 787-9 used on the Rome route. These are Business Class features, not amenities available to every passenger. Alaska’s May 2026 London announcement also describes Premium Class and Main Cabin as other onboard options. See the Rome announcement and the London announcement.
Alaska said its entire 787-9 fleet was planned to receive Starlink Wi-Fi in fall 2026, with complimentary Wi-Fi for Atmos Rewards members. That was a planned rollout, not confirmation that installation is complete on every aircraft; check Alaska’s current onboard information for availability and eligibility. Check the flight details before planning around a route
- Search your exact dates in Alaska’s booking schedule. A route’s announced start date and service pattern do not guarantee a particular departure is available or operating.
- Confirm the destination airport. The announced routes are to London Heathrow (LHR), Rome Fiumicino (FCO), Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Seoul Incheon (ICN), not simply to the city in each route name.
- Review the aircraft shown for the specific flight. Published route aircraft details describe planned service; they do not establish the aircraft assignment for every departure.
- For seasonal routes, verify the operating date. Rome and Reykjavík are described as summer-season services, and the cited announcements do not provide a seasonal end date.
