ARY Digital Network announced that it had acquired a majority stake in digital media platform Nukta, but the companies have not disclosed the exact percentage or financial terms. Announced on 8 March 2026, the deal was presented as an expansion of ARY’s digital operations: Nukta would remain based in Dubai, founder Kamran Khan would lead ARY News & Nukta as chairman, and his program On My Radar was planned for ARY News without a confirmed first-air date.
What ARY acquired—and what the announcement leaves open
Nukta’s announcement describes ARY Digital Network’s purchase as a majority stake, and ARY News Urdu also reports that ARY acquired majority shares. Pakistan Press Foundation says the announcement was made on 8 March 2026. The reports do not specify the ownership percentage, purchase price, sellers, or closing conditions, so the deal should not be described as a full buyout or assigned a valuation. Nukta’s announcement and ARY News Urdu’s report provide the transaction details; Pakistan Press Foundation’s 10 March report gives the announcement date.
ARY framed the transaction as bringing broadcast and digital operations together and strengthening its digital presence. The announcement said Nukta would continue operating from its Dubai headquarters as part of ARY Group’s broader international media network. It does not describe a legal restructuring or a detailed operational integration plan.
Leadership and the planned ARY News program
Nukta founder Kamran Khan was named Chairman of ARY News & Nukta. ARY Group CEO Salman Iqbal described the acquisition as adding Nukta to ARY’s ecosystem. Nukta also announced that Khan’s flagship program, On My Radar, would soon appear on ARY News; no first broadcast date was stated, so this is a plan rather than a confirmed schedule.

Its acquisition announcement also names Nukta Business, Nukta Crime, and Nukta Life among its verticals. What the deal means for viewers and the media business
The stated combination pairs Nukta’s digital publishing operation with ARY’s broadcast network. The announced appearance of On My Radar on ARY News is a concrete example of intended cross-platform distribution, while continued Dubai operations indicate that Nukta was not announced as relocating. The available statements establish those intentions, but do not quantify changes to audience reach, revenue, or the degree of day-to-day integration.
For viewers, the clearest announced change is the planned availability of On My Radar on ARY News. For readers following the corporate transaction, the key distinction is between a disclosed majority stake and undisclosed deal terms: no precise ownership share or price is available in the cited announcements.
