The AFCAT 01/2025 admit-card release was a February 2025 event, not a current alert. The Indian Air Force (IAF) scheduled that cycle’s online exam for 22 and 23 February 2025. Eligible candidates were to receive an e-Admit Card at their registered email address or download it from the official AFCAT career portal using their application username and password; no card was to be sent by post.

What “releasing today” meant for AFCAT 01/2025

The headline referred to a historical release announcement. AFCAT 01/2025 was for courses commencing in January 2026, and applications were accepted from 2 December through 31 December 2024, according to the Indian Air Force’s AFCAT 01/2025 notification. The exam was scheduled for 22 and 23 February 2025. The IAF’s official AFCAT news listing records the cycle’s result announcement on 17 March 2025.

A contemporaneous Scroll report published on 7 February 2025 said candidates could expect the card at 5:00 p.m. That was a media report about the 2025 cycle, not a current release time or an official timetable for a later cycle.

How candidates were instructed to download the card

  1. Go to the official AFCAT career portal identified in the cycle notification.
  2. Sign in with the username and password used when submitting the application.
  3. Open the e-Admit Card, download it, and print a copy.
  4. Compare the card’s personal details with the application information, and read the instructions printed on its back.

The notice made downloading the card the eligible candidate’s responsibility and stated: “No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination unless he/ she holds a printout of the downloaded e-Admit Card for the examination.”

What to do if the card was missing or incorrect

For AFCAT 01/2025, the IAF notification directed candidates to contact the AFCAT Query Cell at C-DAC, Pune immediately if they did not receive the card by email, could not download it, or found an error or discrepancy.

These are contacts published for the 01/2025 cycle. Candidates dealing with a later cycle should confirm its support details on the official AFCAT portal before contacting support. Do not assume a past cycle’s card remains accessible in the portal.

What the 01/2025 notice required at the exam centre

The cycle notification listed the following items and instructions for candidates reporting to the examination centre:

  • A printout of the downloaded e-Admit Card.
  • The original Aadhaar card; photocopies were not accepted.
  • A second original, valid photo identity document, such as a PAN card, passport, driving licence, or voter identity card. It had to show the required identity details and a clear photograph.
  • Two passport-size colour photographs matching the photograph uploaded with the application.

The notice said the name on Aadhaar and the second identity document had to match the name on the Class X matriculation certificate. Candidates were instructed to paste—not staple—the photographs in the specified places on the admit card and attendance sheet. These are cycle-specific instructions from the AFCAT 01/2025 notification; check the applicable notice for any later exam.

Finding information for a current AFCAT cycle

AFCAT 01/2025 is complete, so its release timing, contacts, and exam-centre checklist should not be treated as current-cycle guidance. For new-cycle notices, registration information, and updates, start with the official AFCAT portal and the IAF AFCAT listing. Use the notice for the specific cycle as the authority for its dates and candidate instructions.
