Alice L. Jolla became Microsoft’s corporate vice president and chief accounting officer on July 31, 2020, succeeding Frank H. Brod. Microsoft’s FY2026 annual report still listed Jolla as chief accounting officer and principal accounting officer as of July 29, 2026.

When did Alice Jolla become Microsoft’s chief accounting officer?

Microsoft announced the leadership change on July 1, 2020. Jolla’s appointment took effect July 31, 2020, the same date Brod stepped down from the chief accounting officer role. The announcement identified Brod as Microsoft’s principal accounting officer and said he would remain with the company through September 30, 2020, to help with the transition. Who is Alice Jolla?

In its 2020 announcement, Microsoft said Jolla had been its Corporate Controller since 2014, leading the company’s corporate accounting function. The company also described her earlier career: she was Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis from 2012 to 2014 and Senior Director of Corporate Accounting from 2008 to 2012. Before joining Microsoft, she was a Financial Accounting Standards Board Industry Fellow from 2005 to 2007 and held accounting and finance roles at Dow Chemical and Union Carbide. Is Alice Jolla still Microsoft’s chief accounting officer?
