Status as of October 7, 2026: No—you cannot apply for APSC JE 2025. The application window has passed, and Assam’s Public Works (Roads) Department records that it received APSC’s recommendations for all 650 Junior Engineer (Civil) posts on November 17, 2025.
What was the APSC JE 2025 recruitment?
It was a recruitment for 650 Junior Engineer (Civil) posts in the joint cadre of Assam’s Public Works Roads Department (PWRD) and Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department. The department’s notification says APSC furnished the recommended-candidate list on November 14, 2025, and the department received it on November 17, 2025. Read the Assam PWRD notification.
When did applications close?
A secondary reproduction of the advertisement reports that online applications ran from February 5 through March 4, 2025. The original advertisement was not independently confirmed in the official material available here, so treat March 4 as the deadline reported by that reproduction, not as a currently open or officially reverified date. What happened after applications closed?
Screening test
APSC scheduled the screening test for June 29, 2025. The notice specified a Civil Engineering paper from 10 a.m. to noon and a second paper from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The extracted notice’s text for the second paper is unclear, so its subject label is not repeated here. Recommendations and verification
In December 2025, the department issued instructions for medical examination and document verification for 632 of the 650 recommended candidates. Those candidates were told to bring original documents and submit a notarized affidavit. The notice said arrangements for the 18 candidates recommended under the Persons with Benchmark Disability category would be announced separately. These were instructions for recommended candidates at that time, not current directions for new applicants. Read the department’s December 2025 notice.
What were the reported eligibility requirements?
The secondary reproduction describes a regular diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering & Planning, or Construction Technology from an AICTE-recognized institution, an age range of 21–40 as of January 1, 2025, Assam permanent-residency requirements, and category-based age relaxations. These details have not been independently verified against the original APSC advertisement here. Anyone checking the historical terms should consult the original notice; they should not assume these requirements apply to a future recruitment.

Where to check for a new recruitment
This completed 2025 cycle does not establish whether APSC has opened another Junior Engineer recruitment. For a current opportunity, check APSC’s latest official notices and verify the dates, cadre, discipline, qualifications, age cut-off and relaxations, reservation, fee, exam details, and application portal in the specific advertisement. Assam PWRD’s recruitment page lists its JE Civil syllabus and exam notices, but a syllabus listing alone does not mean applications are open.
