BYDFi’s displayed spot trading fee is 0.1% for both maker and taker orders, but that rate is only one part of trading cost. Fees can differ by product, region, or current platform terms, and other costs may apply. Before trading, check the live rate for your product and pair; after a spot trade, compare the charge in Trade History with the order amount.
What are BYDFi trading fees?
Trading fees are charges applied to executed trades. BYDFi’s fee page displays a baseline spot rate of 0.1% and a baseline futures rate of 0.02% for makers and 0.06% for takers. These are platform-published rates, not a guarantee of the rate on every account or trade: BYDFi says rates can vary with platform events or user region. Check the current BYDFi fee schedule and the details for your trade before relying on a figure.
A stated trading fee is not necessarily the full cost of a trade. Depending on the product and transaction, spread, slippage, funding, or deposit and withdrawal charges may also matter. The official pages do not establish a universal total-cost estimate, so inspect the current order ticket and relevant product terms rather than assuming the listed trading fee is all-inclusive.
Maker and taker: how execution affects the fee
Maker and taker describe what happens when an order is filled, not simply which order button or type you selected. BYDFi describes a maker order as one that enters the order book without matching immediately. A taker order matches existing liquidity straight away.

- COMPACT & PORTABLE DESIGN – Space-saving design that fits easily on any desk or in a briefcase, making it ideal for both home and office use.
- Maker example: If the best ask is 100 USDT, a buy limit order at 99 USDT can rest on the book rather than fill immediately.
- Taker example: A buy order that matches the existing 100 USDT best ask takes liquidity and is classified as taker execution.
A limit order is not automatically a maker order: if it matches an existing order immediately, that fill is taker execution. For futures, BYDFi’s displayed baseline is 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker, but confirm the applicable rate on the live fee page. The lower displayed maker rate is not a reason to place an order at a price that does not suit your trading decision.
How BYDFi calculates spot fees
BYDFi’s spot help page gives this formula: transaction fee = filled order amount × 0.1%. Its examples at that stated rate are:

| Filled order | Fee calculation | Example fee |
| Buy 1 BTC | 1 BTC × 0.1% | 0.001 BTC |
| Sell for 100 USDT | 100 USDT × 0.1% | 0.1 USDT |
These are BYDFi’s published examples for the stated 0.1% spot rate; the fee’s denomination follows the example trade amount. Check your own fill and actual charge because the applicable terms may differ. The BYDFi Spot Help page says completed spot fees can be viewed in Trade History on the Spot Trading page.
How to check the fee before and after a spot trade
- Identify the product and pair. Confirm that you are trading spot, not a derivative or another product, and identify the exact pair.
- Check the current rate. Review BYDFi’s fee schedule and relevant product terms. BYDFi also advises checking official announcements for current rates in its transaction fee guidance.
- Consider how the order may execute. A fill that rests on the book is maker execution; one that matches immediately is taker execution. Do not assume a limit order will receive a maker rate.
- Review any other relevant costs. Check the order ticket and terms for costs such as spread, slippage, funding, or transfer charges that may apply to your specific trade.
- Inspect the completed fill. On spot, open Trade History on the Spot Trading page and compare the charged fee with the filled amount and the rate applicable to your trade.
Why the spot rate does not apply to every BYDFi product
BYDFi lists spot, perpetual contracts, leveraged tokens, spot trading bots, futures grid trading, and convert as distinct products. Their fee structures and formulas may differ, so do not apply the spot formula or rate to them without checking their own terms. BYDFi’s fee calculation guidance directs users to check official announcements for current rates.

Futures and automated strategies are not fee-saving shortcuts. A lower fee on one execution does not make a more complex product appropriate, and leverage does not reduce the risks of a position. BYDFi’s Risk Disclosure says each service has specific risks, its list is not exhaustive, and users should assess those risks independently. It identifies derivatives and leveraged tokens as high risk.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Reduce avoidable costs without trading more
Use the fee schedule to understand the cost of a trade you already consider suitable; do not increase trading frequency to save a fraction of a percentage point. Repeated trades add further exposure to price movements and execution costs, and a lower per-trade fee does not guarantee a better outcome. Check the product, execution, and other applicable charges before placing an order.
Secure your account before trading
BYDFi’s security guidance describes two-factor authentication using Google Authenticator, with verification codes used for login, withdrawals, and account-security changes. Follow the current instructions in the BYDFi security guide, keep your credentials and authenticator setup key secure, and use official BYDFi channels. The cited guide does not establish support for a particular physical security key or hardware wallet.
Quick checklist
- Confirm the exact product and pair; do not assume all BYDFi products share one rate.
- Verify the live fee schedule and applicable product terms for your region and account.
- Understand whether a likely fill is maker or taker; order type alone does not determine the classification.
- Check the order ticket for other costs relevant to that trade.
- After a spot fill, review its charge in Trade History.
- Do not treat a low fee as evidence that a product or trade is low risk.
Rates and product terms can change. The rates above reflect BYDFi’s published fee information as reviewed on October 7, 2026; confirm the live schedule before trading.
