Verdict: Cfreserve should be treated as unverified and high risk, not as a proven legitimate broker. I could not establish from reliable public information that Cfreserve is an authorised UK investment firm. That does not, by itself, prove fraud—but it means you should not send money, identity documents or remote-access details until the exact legal entity and regulatory status have been independently confirmed.

A trading website can look professional while operating without authorisation, using a cloned company identity or making withdrawals difficult. The name “Cfreserve” is not enough to establish who operates the service or where customer money is held.

What is Cfreserve?

Cfreserve appears to present itself as an online investment or trading service. The important question is not whether its website offers attractive markets, account managers or high returns. It is whether a named legal company operates the service and has permission from the relevant regulator to provide the specific services advertised.

For a UK customer, the primary check is the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Financial Services Register. You should search for the legal company name, not just “Cfreserve”. A genuine firm should be able to provide:

How to Day Trade for a Living: A Beginner’s Guide to Trading Tools and Tactics, Money Management, Discipline and Trading Psychology (Stock Market Trading and Investing)
  • As a day trader, you can live and work anywhere in the world. You can decide when to work and when not to work.
  • You only answer to yourself. That is the life of the successful day trader. Many people aspire to it, but very few succeed. Day trading is not gambling or an online poker game.
  • To be successful at day trading you need the right tools and you need to be motivated, to work hard, and to persevere.
  • its full legal name;
  • its company registration number;
  • its regulatory authorisation number;
  • its registered office;
  • the exact website domains and telephone numbers covered by that authorisation; and
  • the services and products it is permitted to provide.

If Cfreserve cannot provide those details, or if the details do not match the regulator’s record exactly, do not treat it as an authorised broker.

Is Cfreserve authorised or legitimate?

There is not enough independently verified information to call Cfreserve a legitimate regulated broker. An FCA number displayed on a website is not proof of authorisation: unauthorised operators frequently copy the name, address and registration number of a genuine firm. This is known as a clone-firm scam.

Authorisation must match all of the following:

Check What must match
Legal entity The company named on the regulator’s record must be the company contracting with you.
Website The exact Cfreserve domain must appear on the regulator’s record or be independently linked to the authorised firm.
Contact details Phone numbers, email addresses and office address must match independently sourced details.
Permissions The firm must be authorised for the products and services it is offering.
Payment recipient The bank or payment account must be in the correct legal entity’s name—not an unrelated person or company.

A company being incorporated at Companies House would not settle the issue. Company registration is not financial-services authorisation, and a registered company can still conduct unauthorised or fraudulent activity.

Warning signs to look for

Be especially cautious if Cfreserve or one of its representatives:

Rank #2
  • contacts you unexpectedly by telephone, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram or email;
  • promises guaranteed returns, fixed profits or unusually high monthly gains;
  • assigns you an “account manager” who pressures you to deposit more;
  • shows profits on an online dashboard but refuses a small test withdrawal;
  • requires a tax, insurance, verification or release fee before allowing a withdrawal;
  • asks you to pay in cryptocurrency, to a personal bank account or to an unrelated overseas company;
  • requests your banking password, one-time passcode or remote access to your computer;
  • claims that a regulator, bank or recovery company can release money if you pay upfront; or
  • uses a different domain or email address from the one shown in its regulatory records.

A withdrawal fee can be legitimate in some investment products, but a demand for additional money before releasing supposedly available profits is a classic advance-fee warning sign. Do not pay a second fee simply because the website displays a balance.

How to check Cfreserve before depositing

  1. Save evidence first. Record the website address, legal terms, emails, messages, telephone numbers, payment instructions and screenshots of the account dashboard.
  2. Identify the operator. Find the legal entity in the terms and conditions, privacy notice and payment instructions. Be wary if the documents only use the brand name.
  3. Search the FCA Register directly. Type the address manually into your browser. Do not use a link supplied by a salesperson.
  4. Compare the details. Check the domain, phone number, address and permissions against the regulator’s record. A similar name is not a match.
  5. Check for warnings. Search the FCA warning list and the regulator in the country where Cfreserve claims to operate. Absence from a warning list is not approval.
  6. Verify payment details. Ask your bank to confirm the payee before sending money. Never assume a UK account proves the broker is UK regulated.
  7. Start with nothing. If any material detail remains unclear, do not deposit. A legitimate investment opportunity will not require you to bypass basic verification.

Does a trading dashboard prove that money is invested?

No. A dashboard can be created or altered by the website operator. Figures showing account growth do not prove that shares, funds, foreign-exchange positions or cryptoassets exist in your name. Nor does a successful initial withdrawal prove that the operation is genuine; scammers sometimes permit a small withdrawal to encourage a much larger deposit.

Ask for independently verifiable evidence of custody, trade execution and the legal entity holding your assets. Do not rely solely on screenshots or statements supplied through the same website.

What if Cfreserve refuses a withdrawal?

Stop sending money. Do not pay an alleged “release”, “tax”, “liquidity”, “compliance” or “recovery” charge without independent advice. Preserve all correspondence and contact the organisation that handled the payment immediately.

If you paid by bank transfer

Call your bank using the number on your card or official statement. Explain that you believe you have been deceived and ask whether a recall or fraud-recovery process is possible. Speed matters, although recovery is not guaranteed.

If you paid by card

Contact the card issuer promptly, report the transaction as suspected fraud and ask about chargeback or other card protections. Do not let the merchant’s claim that a payment was an “investment” stop you from reporting the facts.

If you paid in cryptocurrency

Contact the exchange or wallet provider immediately and report the receiving address and transaction hash. Crypto transfers are usually difficult or impossible to reverse, but prompt reporting can help with tracing or freezing funds in limited circumstances.

Report the suspected scam

UK residents can report suspected investment fraud to Action Fraud and the FCA. If you gave away passwords or security codes, change them immediately, enable two-factor authentication and tell your bank. If you installed remote-access software, remove it and have the device checked.

Is Cfreserve covered by the FSCS?

You should assume no protection applies unless the exact operating firm is authorised and the particular service qualifies. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme does not cover ordinary investment losses, poor trading performance or money sent to an unauthorised scam website. A logo or statement about “insurance” on Cfreserve’s website is not evidence of FSCS eligibility.

Likewise, an FCA warning not being present does not mean Cfreserve is approved. The regulator’s register and the firm’s permissions are the relevant checks.

Advantages and disadvantages

Potential positive Concern
A website may offer a wide range of markets or account types. Marketing claims do not establish authorisation or asset custody.
The platform may display live-looking prices and account balances. Displayed balances can be fabricated and are not proof of execution.
It may provide responsive sales support. Persistent personal contact and pressure to deposit are common scam tactics.
It may accept a small initial payment. A small deposit or early withdrawal can be used to build trust before larger demands.

Our assessment

Cfreserve does not meet the standard of a broker that can safely be recommended on the information available here. The missing or unverified regulatory identity is decisive. Until Cfreserve can be matched to an authorised legal entity, its website and contact details independently, it should be regarded as a potential unauthorised investment operation rather than a normal broker.

This conclusion is about the service using the Cfreserve name. It is not a claim that every person mentioning the name is the same operator, nor is it a finding by a court. Fraudsters can change domains and brands quickly, so check the exact URL and payment details involved.

FAQ

Is Cfreserve a scam?

There is not enough independently verified information to establish that Cfreserve is a legitimate regulated broker. Treat it as high risk and do not deposit until its exact legal entity, regulator permissions, website and payment details have been confirmed independently.

Can I trust an FCA number shown by Cfreserve?

No. Clone firms often copy genuine companies’ names and FCA reference numbers. Search the FCA Register yourself and confirm that the exact domain, phone number, address and services match.

Cfreserve is showing profits. Can I withdraw them?

A displayed profit is not proof that money exists. If withdrawal is conditional on paying another fee, tax or insurance charge, stop paying and contact your bank or payment provider immediately.

What should I do if I already deposited money with Cfreserve?

Stop further payments, preserve evidence and contact your bank, card issuer or crypto exchange immediately. Change compromised passwords, remove remote-access software and report suspected fraud to Action Fraud and the FCA.

Does FSCS protect money deposited with Cfreserve?

Not unless the exact firm is authorised and the relevant product qualifies. FSCS does not normally compensate losses caused by unauthorised investment scams or normal market losses.

The Bottom Line

Cfreserve is not verified as a legitimate regulated broker and should be treated as high risk. Do not rely on its website, trading dashboard, FCA number, testimonials or salesperson. Verify the exact legal entity and domain through the FCA Register and independently confirm payment details before sending anything. If you have already paid or are being asked for a withdrawal fee, stop communicating about further payments and contact your bank immediately.
