Michael Ilesanmi requested temporary and permanent spousal support in an August 2024 court filing, but the couple’s March 10, 2026 divorce settlement waived alimony for both sides. And despite a photo that drew attention to a red Mercedes-Benz, Michael said the car belonged to a friend—not him.
What Michael asked for in his 2024 filing
In June 2024, Angela Deem filed for an annulment, alleging that Michael had fraudulently induced her to marry him for immigration purposes. Those were her allegations, not a court finding. Michael responded on August 21, 2024, disputing the fraud claim and seeking a divorce. He also alleged cruel treatment and abuse; those, too, were allegations in the contested case. Showbiz Cheat Sheet reported on the filing.

Michael asked for temporary and permanent spousal support and an equitable division of marital assets. The petition reportedly said there was “a substantial disparity in income between the parties” and that he could not meet his reasonable monthly financial needs without continued support from Angela. Those statements describe the grounds he put forward for relief; they are not findings that a court ordered support or determined either party’s income.
Was the red Mercedes Michael’s car?
No, according to Michael’s reported clarification. After a photo of him beside a red Mercedes-Benz prompted comments, he wrote on Facebook: “Just to clear the air, I did not buy any red Benz. I only posed near the car. It’s for a friend, not mine!” Showbiz Cheat Sheet reported his response on August 28, 2024. The photo therefore does not establish that he owned or purchased the vehicle.

How the divorce settlement changed the outcome
On March 10, 2026, Michael and Angela finalized their divorce settlement. Both waived alimony, and each kept vehicles titled in that person’s own name. They also accepted responsibility for their own debts, according to TMZ’s account of the settlement and Us Weekly’s report on the divorce.
That later agreement means Michael’s 2024 request for spousal support did not lead to alimony under the reported settlement. The support request, the Mercedes photo, and the final vehicle terms are separate matters: the filing stated what Michael asked the court to grant, while the settlement reported the terms the couple ultimately accepted.
