What McDonald’s Australia announced
The summer menu announcement included three headline items: VEGEMITE McShaker Fries, the returning McOz and the new CHICKEN McOz. McDonald’s described the fries as its World-Famous Fries coated with VEGEMITE, but did not publish a complete seasoning recipe. It also said both burgers included beetroot; the announcement did not provide their full ingredient lists.

The announcement was dated Wednesday, 8 January 2025. McDonald’s said the menu items were available “for a limited time only, while stock lasts.” A separate Caramel Thickshake was scheduled to arrive on 22 January 2025.

How long the menu lasted
McDonald’s framed the menu as a limited-time, stock-dependent offer. Its Australia menu-history record, revised in September 2025, lists Vegemite shaker seasoning as removed in April 2025. That entry supports treating the fries as a past promotional item, but it does not confirm the current availability of every burger or at every restaurant.
