AgriCapture announced on October 24, 2022, that its Soil Enrichment Project had received Climate Action Reserve (CAR) credits for farming activity in 2021. The announcement described the project as the second-ever to receive credits under CAR’s Soil Enrichment Protocol. CAR’s November 2022 newsletter subsequently listed AgriCapture Soil Enrichment #1 with 32 Climate Reserve Tonnes (CRTs) issued.
What carbon credits were issued?
A carbon credit represents a quantified reduction or removal of greenhouse-gas emissions recorded under a program’s rules. CAR calls its credits Climate Reserve Tonnes, or CRTs. In this case, AgriCapture said the credits followed 2021 agricultural activity assessed under CAR’s Soil Enrichment Protocol; the Reserve’s November 2022 newsletter listed 32 CRTs for AgriCapture Soil Enrichment #1.
The October 24, 2022 company announcement said issuance occurred within a year after harvest. CAR’s November 2022 newsletter is the contemporaneous source for the 32-CRT registry listing. The newsletter identifies the project across Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Missouri; it does not provide enough detail to reconcile the 32 CRTs to each farm or practice described in the announcement.
Which farming practices were involved?
Practices identified for the specific issuance
AgriCapture’s announcement highlighted two Arkansas farms. One used nitrogen fertilizer management on cotton fields, intended to reduce nitrous oxide emissions and fertilizer runoff. The other used climate-friendly rice practices, including avoiding field burning, to reduce methane and nitrous oxide emissions.

Practices across the broader project
The company said its broader Soil Enrichment Project covered more than 130,000 acres and included cover crops, reduced tillage, efficient fertilizer application, avoided burning, and irrigation changes. Those practices describe the broader project, not a claim that every enrolled farm used every practice or that each one generated the 32 CRTs.
How did AgriCapture document and verify the work?
AgriCapture said its agronomists chose practices suited to individual farms and collected farm records, satellite imagery, and soil samples. It then submitted project data for validation and verification through CAR. CAR’s November newsletter says projects achieve registered status after verification by an independent, accredited verification body.

This distinction matters: AgriCapture’s announcement is a company account of its project, while the Reserve newsletter supplies a registry listing and credit count. The materials cited here establish the registry’s stated verification process and the project listing; they do not provide an independent evaluation of the project’s environmental outcomes or the full public project report needed to examine all issuance details.
What the 2022 announcement does—and does not—tell farmers or buyers
The announcement shows an example of farm practices being brought into a registry-based crediting program. It does not establish a price paid for the 2022 credits, who purchased them, or how much a participating farmer earned. A credit issuance is not the same as a disclosed sale or a guaranteed farm payment.

- Kindly NOTE: This soil tester can not be applied to test pH value of any other liquid. If the soil is too dry the indicator will not move, and water it before testing.
- 3 METERS IN ONE: Soil moisture level, Soil pH value and Sunlight level could be tested easily according to your need by switching the function button of this soil meter.
- NO BATTERY NEEDED: Simply insert the meter into soil, wait few minutes, accurate test results will be displayed on the readout panel. No battery is needed.
- STURDY AND SCIENTIFIC DESIGN: Reliable materials and upgraded technology used for this soil meter make it advanced and high-quality for long-term use.
- MULTIPURPOSE SOIL TEST KIT: Portable and compact design enables you to use this soil meter for house garden, farm, lawn and any other soil & plant analysis. Ideal for indoor and outdoor use.
For farmers or buyers evaluating a separate agricultural credit project, useful items to examine include the protocol and crediting boundary, baseline and additionality rules, credited practices and gases, project vintage, monitoring evidence, independent verification and registry status, and transaction terms. The sources for this announcement do not support a comparative ranking of AgriCapture against other projects.

AgriCapture’s June 11, 2024 release described a separate rice-industry issuance: it reported reductions equivalent to 37,000 tons of CO2, water savings of more than 9 billion gallons, and activity across 455 fields in Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, and Texas. These are figures from that later release, not the 2022 Soil Enrichment issuance.

- Comprehensive Soil Analysis: Liquid soil test kits offer a comprehensive analysis of essential soil parameters, including pH, ammonia, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Having all these measurements in one kit provides a holistic understanding of the soil's fertility and health.
- Customized Fertilizer Recommendations: With data on pH and nutrient levels, liquid soil test kits help users apply the right type and amount of fertilizers, optimizing plant growth, and preventing over-fertilization, which could harm both plants and the environment. Whether its for lawns, garden, grass, plants, vegetables, turf, flowers, compost trees vines ornamental landscape house plants or hydroponics you will be able to get the results you want.
- Time and Cost-Effective: Liquid soil test kits are relatively quick and easy to use, saving time for gardeners and agricultural professionals. Compared to sending samples to a laboratory, these kits provide rapid results, allowing for prompt action. Additionally, they are cost-effective for routine testing, making it feasible to monitor soil health regularly.
- Optimal Plant Health and Yield: By knowing the soil's pH and nutrient levels, gardeners and farmers can fine-tune their agricultural practices to create an environment conducive to optimal plant growth. Adequate levels of ammonia, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are essential for healthy plant development and higher crop yields.
- Accurate and Precise Results: Liquid test kits are designed to provide accurate and precise measurements when used correctly. They are calibrated to detect specific nutrient levels, ensuring reliable data for informed decision-making in plant nutrition and soil management. You get a total of about 140 test. which is 40 test for each parameter and about 20 or so for nitrogen
AgriCapture’s current carbon-credit page describes its CAR1513 rice methane project, including alternate wetting and drying and furrow irrigation. The company reports more than 52,000 credits sold for that project; this is a current company claim and is not the size or sales history of the 2022 issuance.
A 2025 AgriCapture farmer information sheet says that additional payments had averaged $20–30 per acre based on 2024 carbon-market activity. That is a dated company estimate for eligible participating farmers, not a guaranteed payment or the price of the 2022 credits. The sheet also describes annual enrollment terms for up to 30 years.
