The company reported a $300 million post-money valuation. It said the Series B would support global expansion and help meet demand on existing routes; the announcement does not establish what those plans later achieved.
How Aero’s $65 million raise was structured
The financing terms come from Aero’s company-issued announcement distributed by Business Wire on August 18, 2022. Aero described the total as a capital raise comprising two parts—not as $65 million of Series B equity:

The company said the round was co-led by AlbaCore Capital Group and existing investors Expa and Keyframe Capital, with Capital One Ventures investing for the first time. What Aero said it would use the money for
Aero said the Series B proceeds would support expansion into global markets and help meet increased demand on existing routes. That is the purpose stated when the financing was announced, not evidence that the raise itself caused later launches or that every expansion plan was completed.

In the same release, CEO Uma Subramanian said customers in the US and Europe had been waiting for Aero’s travel experience. Keyframe Capital’s John Rapaport described the brand and service positively. These are attributed statements from a company financing announcement, not independent customer research.
What “semi-private airline” means in Aero’s case
“Semi-private” is Aero’s positioning for a scheduled, book-by-the-seat experience using private terminals. It aims to offer a middle ground between booking a private charter and flying first class on a commercial airline; the label alone does not make Aero a conventional scheduled airline. The 2022 financing announcement separately said Aero’s US flights were public charters operated by its wholly owned subsidiary, USAC Airways 695 LLC, under US Department of Transportation Part 380 public-charter rules. That regulatory description is distinct from the private-terminal experience.
Routes and service details: what has changed since 2022
At the time of the financing announcement, Aero listed Aspen, Los Cabos, and Sun Valley service from private US terminals in Los Angeles (Van Nuys) and San Francisco (SFO), as well as Ibiza, Mykonos, and Nice flights from London Farnborough Airport. Those are routes listed in 2022, not a promise of current or year-round service.

Aero’s current company story describes its launch with scheduled Mykonos–Ibiza service, entry into North America in 2021 with Van Nuys–Aspen and Van Nuys–Los Cabos flights, and seasonal Sun Valley service. It also refers to later Los Angeles–New York and Aspen–New York routes, and weekly Los Angeles–Maui service. Its FAQ lists destinations associated with Los Angeles private terminals including New York City, Los Cabos, Aspen, Maui, Sun Valley, Napa, Thermal, Las Vegas, and Miami starting Winter 2026. The company’s January 2026 announcement also described book-by-the-seat flights to major events, including Super Bowl LX and Formula One weekends; its examples included Los Angeles–San José and New York–San José service for Super Bowl LX. These lists and event flights are not a guarantee of operation on a particular date.

What to compare before booking a seat
Aero’s model is not directly comparable to a single standard commercial fare or private-charter quote. Compare the actual itinerary and ticket terms against realistic alternatives:
- Total trip cost: Compare a live Aero seat quote with a suitable commercial itinerary or charter quote, including ground transportation and any relevant fare restrictions. The available company sources do not support a general claim that Aero always costs a particular fraction of commercial airfare.
- Airport access: Private terminals and shorter arrival windows may be convenient, but the departure or arrival airport may be less convenient for your trip than a major commercial airport. Verify the specific FBOs—the fixed-base operators or private-terminal facilities—for both ends of the itinerary.
- Schedule: Aero has a curated route network, and some service is seasonal or tied to events. Commercial airlines may offer more departures on a route; check date-specific schedules rather than relying on a route list.
- Aircraft and baggage: Aero’s current fleet page lists Gulfstream IV-SP, Embraer Legacy 600, and Embraer ERJ-135 aircraft. Cabin layouts and baggage arrangements can differ; the company says ticket-specific checked and cabin allowances are specified, its jets have no overhead bins, and pet rules vary by pet size and flight type. - Changes and cancellations: The fleet and policy page describes different conditions for Select, Latitude, and Non-Refundable fares. Aero says its current policy applies to tickets purchased from October 29, 2025. Review the rules attached to the fare you are buying; terms can change.
Aero also advertised specific event-flight starting prices in its January 27, 2026 announcement: one-way fares starting at $1,875 for Los Angeles–San José and $6,456 for New York–San José flights tied to Super Bowl LX.
