Acre Gold lets customers build toward small physical gold bars through monthly payments or buy a bar outright. It is a purchase-and-delivery service, not a savings account or a promise of investment returns. Whether it is worth using depends chiefly on the current all-in bar price, the wait until your balance reaches a shipping threshold, and the cancellation and resale terms.
How does Acre Gold work?
Acre Gold offers a recurring-payment plan and a separate one-time purchase option. With a subscription, payments accumulate toward the listed price of a selected bar; the bar does not ship with each monthly payment. Once the balance reaches the applicable threshold, Acre says it ships weekly on Fridays and emails the shipment date. Any remaining balance carries forward toward the next bar, which the company calls a “Go Forward balance.” The company does not give a universal number of months from signup to delivery, and the time depends on the plan and the changing threshold price. One-time purchase
If you do not want recurring payments or to wait for a subscription threshold, Acre Gold also lists bars for one-time purchase. Its “Buy It Now” collection displays products from different collections and sizes; displayed prices are time-sensitive and should be checked at checkout rather than treated as a lasting price schedule. What do you receive?
Acre Gold says its bars are 999.9 fine (24k), designed in California and minted in Switzerland. The company says each bar comes with an assay card showing a matching serial number, mint mark, physical descriptors and the assayer’s signature certifying purity. These are the company’s product specifications; they are not an independent test or verification of a particular bar. Acre Gold FAQ.
Is Acre Gold worth it?
There is no reliable yes-or-no answer without comparing the exact product’s current price. Acre Gold says its retail price includes design, minting, shipping, insurance and service, and that spot price is a market indicator rather than a retail price. Gold prices move, and the available products and prices can change. The cited sources do not establish an independent average premium, customer returns, delivery performance or customer outcomes for Acre Gold, so a price check should not be mistaken for evidence of investment performance. Gold can lose value; a physical bar does not guarantee a return.

Convenience versus the wait
Monthly payments spread out what you pay, but they do not mean you receive gold each month. You must reach the relevant threshold before a bar ships, and the threshold price can change. The one-time option avoids that accumulation period but requires paying the displayed purchase price upfront. Compare the convenience of recurring payments with the wait and the full cost rather than judging the service by the monthly amount alone.
Can you cancel, and what happens to your balance?
Acre Gold’s FAQ says customers can cancel at any time through the customer portal or by email, and that a follow-up reply is needed before a refund is processed. That FAQ lists a $20 cancellation fee before the first shipment, including the membership, and an $8 fee after the first shipment. Acre Gold FAQ.

The separate refund policy, last updated January 29, 2026, describes a different fee detail: refund requests within 120 days of the most recent payment may be returned to the original payment method less a $20 cancellation fee and processing fees. After 120 days, the policy says a refund to the original payment method is not available; Acre may instead provide store credit or apply the balance to a future purchase. The FAQ and policy do not state the fee in the same way, so confirm the current amount and how it applies to your account before cancelling. Acre Gold Refund Policy.
Before-shipment cancellation risks
The refund policy says delivered physical gold is final sale. It also says a cancellation before shipment may result in a charge for the difference between the original purchase price and the current market price if gold has fallen. Acre says it will provide an itemized statement and allow five business days to dispute the proposed charge. Acre Gold links customers to APMEX as a resale route. APMEX describes a process involving a quote, product verification and payment. It says online quote requests receive an offer in less than two business hours, subject to its request and verification process. APMEX lists a $1,000 free minimum buyback; a buyback below that amount incurs a $40 service-fee deduction. Because a single small bar may not meet that minimum, check the current terms and expected proceeds before assuming a small bar will be easy or cost-free to sell. APMEX Acre Sell To Us.

Who might consider Acre Gold?
The service may suit someone who specifically wants a small physical bar and prefers to build toward it through recurring payments. It is less suitable for a buyer who needs immediate possession, wants a guaranteed exit price, or has not compared the delivered price against spot and a conventional dealer’s comparable product. Those trade-offs follow from the threshold-based shipping model and published resale terms; they do not establish whether any individual buyer should own gold.
