Applications opened on 16 July 2025 and closed on 5 August 2025 at 11:59 p.m.; that application window has ended. This is the 2025 recruitment, not APPSC’s separate FBO Notification No. 18/2026.
What did the 2025 APPSC notification offer?
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) issued Notification No. 06/2025 on 14 July 2025 for recruitment to the A.P. Forest Subordinate Service. Its vacancy table lists the following posts and pay scales:

Candidates needed an One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) profile to apply through the Commission’s website. APPSC cautioned that registering for OTPR alone did not submit an application; candidates had to complete the separate application for the recruitment.
What qualifications and physical standards did APPSC require?
Education and general eligibility
The stated educational qualification for both FBO and ABO was passing Intermediate or an equivalent examination. The notification also sets out citizenship, character, health and other eligibility conditions, so meeting the education requirement alone does not establish eligibility.

Physical and medical requirements
The notice prescribes minimum height, chest circumference and chest expansion standards, with separate figures for women and relaxations for specified groups. It also provides exceptions and certificate requirements. Because the applicable threshold depends on the candidate’s circumstances, check the physical-standards and certificate sections of the official notice rather than relying on a single general figure.
The recruitment includes a medical examination, and the notice requires a health certificate for outdoor forest work. How did the selection process work?
The notification describes objective, offline OMR-based examinations, physical tests, a medical examination and a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). A screening test was conditional: APPSC said it would be held if the number of applicants exceeded 200 times the vacancies. The notice said the screening and main examination dates would be announced separately.
The stated procedure places merit in the main written examination at the centre of selection, followed by the CPT, while requiring candidates to take part in the prescribed stages. APPSC’s official listing records a screening-test result notification for this recruitment dated 9 October 2025. Is the 2025 FBO application still open, and what is the 2026 notice?
No. The 2025 application window ended on 5 August 2025. APPSC’s recruitment listing also shows a separate Forest Beat Officer recruitment, Notification No. 18/2026, dated 15 September 2026. That is a different notification, not a reopening of Notification No. 06/2025, and its terms should be checked in its own official notice. The listing’s existence and date do not, by themselves, confirm its vacancies, deadlines or eligibility rules. APPSC recruitment listing

Use APPSC’s official website and the relevant notification, announcements and results listings for authoritative dates, instructions and status updates. Notification No. 06/2025 states: “The Commission’s website will serve as the sole source of the official communication.”
